To be fair, It's not because something is the most common strategy, it is a good one. Most mergers / factions sales turn out to be huge failures because of this reason, and require massive amounts of effort to put right.
Considering the new permissions system there are plenty of other strategies that can result in a much better situation after the purchase was / is made.
Exactly how I remember it. Evo was a dead beat when T-Max bought it. Not on the scene and its just interesting to see how much Torn cares now. Where were you 2 years ago? He was running it alone, then some guy started helping with OC's.
Evo was like "come join us - no chaining only training, max nerve, free xanax".
The place was really mellow with way too much slacking going on. People wouldn't even bother to check if their OC was due before taking off to SA and then forgetting fly back for 3 days.
Did he ruin it? No. Over a course of 2 years Evo turned into what it is today. It became important enough for all this meaningless drama to break out. Where were you when he bought it? Why didnt you buy it before he got it if you loved it so much?
Being a sole leader since purchasing it, investing a tremendous amount of time and Torn money into building it - he has the right to do whatever he pleases with it.
All this whinning by people who neither ever led nor could lead an independent faction all by themselves is truly irritating. You are only here because now Evo is something worth talking about. The irony is that its all thanks to T-Max, the man youre bashing right now.

So when leaving yes when selling my house I took my furniture. I have been speaking to dealer and co for over a year since the last failed merger on a friendly basis. So when I approached dealer he suggested Jox take it over and I was more then happy as we’ve been friends. Just so happens one of my friends brought it & the other was taking over as leader. So not sure where I lied? Yes I wasn’t transparent, instead of saying “I’m stepping down and Jox is taking over” like I did say I should of say “I’m stepping down and Jox is taking over ownership”
But if this is all about my points I took out I’ll more then happily return them to who they belonged to. It feels like the hate here is by upset players who’s gravy train just stopped at a station. But instead of thanking me for what they did get they are upset for what they are now not getting.

So because someone suffered a personal tragedy they are exempt from criticism of their actions? Members of Evo feel wronged by T-max and are allowed to express their frustrations, rightly so.
This is exactly what happens when faction leaders become greedy. In NO CIRCUMSTANCE can a faction leader deem a racket (faction asset) as a personal asset.
You can't pull a bait and switch on people, telling them 'we are all in it together' and 'we are all working for the greater good' then at the last minute go 'SYKE' and then take everything including the kitchen sink.
Just because t-max DONATED (key word) personal wealth in aid of the faction, much like many members in EVO did, does not give him the right to any recompense. Its bullshit to parrot a narrative that it does. Then to weaponize your own freely given & unrequited donation, as a means of bludgeoning your membership is not fair.
