Yes, you can switch back at a later time to the same company type and your job points will still be there
And if it is a different type of company with different perks you can get with your points?
No, job points only work in the same company type.
Example: You can't build up points in a Sweet Shop and spend them in a Pub
If you leave a sweet shop for a pub you will have 0 pub points, but when you come back to any sweet shop your job points will be there.
