what is wrong with buying guns and ammo?

In the wider context of the party opposing a widely popular bill and largely ignoring their fiduciary duties in the House and nation-wide creating mountains of mole hills (re: HR.8 and being unable and unwilling to not bring firearms onto the House floor or go through DC permitting process, etc.)

Where supporters of the same party have called for and invited a civil war (as it's been happening here in the regular as well if you'll recall) and engaged in insurrection against the government, more guns isn't goin to solve anything.

It's stunning how ignorant this approach is. Last US civil war cost a huge toll and settled effectively nothing since some of the issues are still being contested. Elsewhere and in more modern times, civil war can be seen to be every bit as chaotic as it is unproductive. They're never neatly defined acts of aggression between Team and Team B. Neighbours settle feuds with neighbours, small slights and transgressions from one family against another is used as a reason for bloodshed during these chaotic times.

Anyone talking up civil war like they're ready or getting ready for it are almost undoubtedly some of the first to fall. Why? Cycle of violence just spins out or control, no amount of small arms fire is going to keep that at bay, just puts you in the firing line earlier.

And for what?

i can say i have seen democrat voters calling for a civil war just as much as the republican voters lately...So trying to pin it on 1 team or the other does not work. I personally feel guns will solve the issue of stupid folks trying to attack me or my family when things do eventually spiral out of control.
As for gun control making it to the house floor, that is because of the NRA...which has pretty much bought and paid for every single republican in office atm. But the same can be said for platforms like Facebook and Twitter and any attempt to sign restrictions into law for them...the Democrats wont even think about it...but it is a popular idea in American as well.

Now as for the past Civil war in America, it solved many issues at the time. Just sad to see the healing never really happened, and seems to only be getting worse. I agree folks who call for a civil war are stupid and childish...most likely have no idea what they are really calling for either.

the divide is simply too wide. two completely different ideological stances and neither have any respect for the other, and at this point its honestly hard to say why they should. both are actively attempting to pass federal laws to prohibit their way of life across the entire country instead of allowing individual states to govern their own people how the majority there want to be governed.

fact is federal overreach is higher now than ever before. the feds are attempting to subvert the intent of having states in the first place in a bid for ultimate power. both sides are doing it, overtly and extremely.

unless that changes soon, and it wont, the power struggle at the top will cause tremors at the bottom. without a universal enemy to devour we will consume each other.

I laugh at the notion of another civil war. Good luck to anyone who wants to go toe to toe with the federal government. Our politics may be divisive but this really isn't anything new.

LOL. More like it is costing $11,400 per person for those of us that actually pay taxes. Roughly half of the US population don't pay taxes. Guess what percent of those are getting $1,400 vs. the percent of tax payers?

We're coming to a point were even our media is demonizing half of the country. The new "Blue anon" conspiracy is that Qanon is somehow the biggest threat to America. Which is nonsense. Qanon are just a bunch of idiots. People who are far too gullible, and likely believe in any dumb shit you tell them. I'm sure the overlap with flat earthers is high.

But the Blue anon are hardly better at this point. Just my opinion. Both sides are toxic and stupid. They don't want to talk at all. the other side is just stupid, ignorant, or Nazis.

Ignoring the "kids in cages" getting to record highs, the bombing of Syria, and the countless other problems we face.

What are you suggesting is going to happen? That people are going to angerly protest how the government is handling business? Well that is entirely within their rights and encouraged by our democracy.

Perhaps you're suggesting armed action against the government. Military bases? Government offices? Democrat offices? Tell me how any of that isn't a criminal or terrorist act (i.e Oklahoma City Bombing)?

We're not going to have a civil war because it's an easy thing to say on the internet vice conduct in real life because it's just that: Talk. Actions such as these have consequences most Americans aren't willing to live with.

They're still rioting in Seattle. Still trying to burn down government buildings, still spray painting BLM and such on the walls.

Why isn't the news reporting much on that? Why isn't it called an insurrection? or Terrorism? Or a Coup? Or any other buzz words the media likes to use to try so desperately to convince gullible people that the 6th of Jan was more than just a stupid ass riot.
