[Script] Spy Save

This is a simple script that will save your spies to TornStats.
I needed a quick way to save spies in case I accidentally forget to screenshot them.
Hopefully it's useful to more than just me.

If there is any recommendations on updates or enhancements I'd be glad to look into it.

DISCLAIMERS:

• I haven't tested this on mobile so it may or may not work.
• I'd check to make sure it's in TornStats the first time you try it to make sure it's showing up for you.
• This was made for my specific use case and with the chrome browser, your mileage may vary.

Entered my API, but it seems to not be saving my spys.... any thoughts why?

So you are putting your API into a script from someone that is 5 months old and by his stats looks like he does not play much the game at all?

Yeah i'm sure DKK can verify by looking at the code that there's nothing malicious here.

I do not know what the problem could be. You are registered on TornStats I assume? I don't know what happens if someone isn't registered there and they try this. Also not sure if the old TornStats acts differently or not. I guess you might have to try and look in the developer console in the browser to see if there are any javascript errors. I'll message you and see if we can't figure it out.

The only difference is that I'm not posting a script.

I vetted the script for Konitic before he installed it.

Living in paranoia is not how to vet scripts. Treat unknown scripters/scripts as neutral. If you do have a concern, contact your friendly neighborhood scripter.

Unless you view all community scripters as evil.

Turns out the resulting html output from different job types spies are very different, I only tested with being a general in the army, and Konitic is in a TV network. Now i'm wondering if I would have to check the output from a Law Firm special as welI. I'll have to fix some things to accommodate for differences. Sorry if anyone else tried it and ran across problems. If anyone does try it with a law firm special let me know if it works or not.

If anyone wants to help me out and let me see an example of a Law Firm spy report, please message me. Feel free to obfuscate any sensitive info obviously. I really need to see the html generated from the report. Thanks

i'm not stupid...... i had the script vetted by a trusted friend who deals with scripts and got the green light to install and use this.

Just to give an update, after the fix was made this script works as intended and saves my spy reports to Torn Stats so i don't have to.

This script is pretty much not needed now. They recently added spy reports to the API! You can import them from the api directly from the Torn Stats "Enter spies" page.

It was short lived but I'm just assuming they saw my script and decided to make it easier. Thanks, Ched!
