If Torn is located in the US, why is tct based out of the UK? Am I missing something?

Torn is not in the US....it was kicked out, remember? Torn observes UTC, the global time zone.
Will likely be down to the fact chedburn is from England and it would have made sense to make torn reflect his own timezone for convenience.
what's wrong with that? Torn is just a fictional city after all, no need to stress the details.
Is there some back-story as to why Torn is in the US and not the UK? Cuz it would have made more sense, time-wise anyway.
I believe it's not based out of the UK.
It's based out of UTC (wikipedia article on Coordinated Universal Time).

Exactly. The UK does not observe UTC. Right now, we are an hour ahead of it.
Ok. Wasn't stressing about it, just my curious brain. But even though Torn was kicked out of the US, it looks like it's still in the US, time zone-wise. Doesn't matter to me either way, I adjust the time as I need to, but it was just something that stuck out to me. Thanks for the info everyone.
Probably the same reason DPS have been proved in US$ and not £... Marketing
The whole backstory of torn kicked out of the US was not even there in the beginning. When Torn started, there was no travelling.
I'm guessing travelling light actually be why (just thought of it now). At first, I think we could only go to Hawaii to have a romantic walk on the beach (no, I'm not joking). US is kinda close to Hawaii, so it has an acceptable travel time.
