i was a another victims of those script cheater that use api info to mugg anyone who comes back the cayman. This needs to stop. How can this be accepted. Didn’t have time to load torn page I was already mugg. Check your shit this is not normal.

The script/bot that uses API is a legal script, it has already been checked. The attack was started 1 second after you landed in Torn, it is a fair mug and not an issue. If you have any evidence that the player is using an illegal script, then you are free to file a player report on them and submit any evidence that you have (you can file a report on yourself if it is a stealth attack).

Multiple people have suffered this, and only a select few are abusing the system. But from what I hear it is legal. But Ched and co needs to stop this abuse, as it is giving unfair advantage to a scripter vs a non scripter. How can a non scripter stash money if he gets attacked, hit and mugged in 2-3 seconds when the page itself takes 10 seconds to load.
I was potentially impacted by this issue as well and I have not consented to have any of my account details provided by the API, even to my own faction. I have never shared my API key with any party at all.
If my account details are being shared via the API without my consent, that is a violation of my account privacy.
We werent aware of scripts that would release timed info on when a flight started and when theyre going to land +- 1min till 2 days ago when one of the users leaked it themselves.
How are we supposed to find evidence of such scripts existing if the users don't leak it??
The real question is does ched really not give a **** or is the full scope of this being withheld from him? I dont see how anyone who cares can look at this situation and shrug their shoulders
Scripting is now ingrained in the game, everything from warring to mugging to making money and even attacking, automating and accelerating manual tasks, those that can exploit the system will win.
Before you know it it's out of control and that's the end of the game.
He's using scripts for everything. This is not fair, the normal player cannot compete with automated scripts. This is just one example... Main script probably was for stocks.
Networth was over 1 trillion. Only possible with scripts. He's used the cash on SE and now can't be beaten.
torntools is the overwhelming majority of non default things I do.
If you have something to report you know where the report button is. i have nothing to hide. But you wont, you post on the forums because you know you have nothing and are just being sore loser making excuses for your factions shit performance.
