Why?

- I usually fly abroad, yk, for my flying income and i usually go towards either SA or UAE for that sweet profit per minute. I fight ppl abroad to use up my energy that would be wasted while flying back otherwise. We can attack ppl and use up or e so why not add up a interference/system that lets us commit crimes and gives us a chance to spend our precious nerve too?

Basic Idea

- I want completely different crimes and events we can encounter abroad. For eg- we can come upon a empty bag or suitcase left out in the streets which lets us bring 2 or x no. of more items home. ( of course the chances of such thing happening would be as small as my penis and believe me when i say i have pretty small penis i ain't kiddin. Anyways, developers would set that all for us.Sorry, i had to make thing post a bit cringy)

- More reasons to go abroad and to low popular countries. What i mean is every county will have different events ready for us to encounter. This ensures that every county gains a bit of equality, and so i would like countries like canada or mexico or Hawaii to gain a big hand in all of this.

Advantages/pros

- A bit more diversity of crimes in a crime based game itself.

- Helps new players overall.

- Since you can get a chance to take 2 or more items home with u would obviously have the cash ready if such thing happens to u, and since there is a 15sec grace period added now for mug protection its pretty hard to make mugging worthwhile so this will give muggers a chance to make something out of it for sure.

- No wastage of nerve assured.

- More merits for us, of course.

Side idea

We can have a completely different crime exp for this thing. I do reckon this will make this simplistic game a bit more complicated and i m not really sure about this myself but the idea doesnt seem too bad to me. If this does become a thing, They can add "crime exp (abroad)" in the merit spending section so more things to put ur merit in. (main reason for this is, since many new awards and honors will be introduced to us the developer i think have to play with our minds a bit just like how we think for hours if not days to make a decesion on which we should put our merits in this will make things more complicated and will go hand in hand with the new awards)

This is all i have in mind, pls do share ur thots on this below and thx for reading.

That is very true. Ched himself said he wants to make Torn a place where people have to stay in fear of mugging. The next day, he nerfs mugging. Anything can happen!

Crime abroad has been planned for crimes 2.0, if u comb the staff page, sometime you will see one of em being jailed abroad.
Qzwx420 [1425036]
Do you know how long crimes 2.0 has been in the making for? And now you want them to add a completly new branch of crimes? With new events and stuff to write?

Sure it is a good idea but if it takes 20 years for crimes 2.0 to be launched i wouldnt expect this to be released during your lifetime lmfao!

Edit: btw adding stuff to do abroad will raise the amount of people travelling thus lowering prices of imported goods... since the demand wont change that much, ao sure travrlling would be more fun but less profitable meaning youll have to fly even more to make the same profit
Noob_God [2644967]
implementation of crimes 2.0 depends upon the developers, maybe its ready but they are waiting for something, and about the prices of imported goods u talked about i completely missed that point but maybe to even things out they can reduce the time to travel to different countries even more?

You still believe in fairy tales and santa clause do you?

Go and read the past announcment and pay carefull attention to alice... and see how long shes been doing this...

"Alice: Crime writing"

For as long as they gave an update of what staff are doing with each announcments...

Sooo if she is still writing crime text what tells you that crimes 2.0 is done and theyre waiting for santa to deliver it?

Edit: Age:129 days old.... ohh i see lol
Qzwx420 [1425036]
And reducing flight times would make the problem even worst, id fly more if flight times were shorter so even more people would fly... to balance things out youd need to make flight times longer... so less people travel, countering the fact that you added crimes to make it more appealing...
Amrak_Dezark [2189876]
Nah, it's the price of getting that higher profit per minute. If you are that worried about your nerve either put merits into it to make it so you can go longer without needing to use it or fly shorter distances
bfb926 [220559]
It's a good idea, doesn't need to be particularly profitable crimes or anything, but would definitely make flying more entertaining, which God knows it needs.
Dalzadar [2242727]
I get the sense they will not be making any changes to crimes until the 12 years in the making crimes 2.0 gets released
Qzwx420 [1425036]
God knows how that would increase supply without increasing demand for imported goods which would by economic laws lower prices... so sure flying would be more entertaining but at the cost of ultimately being less profitable... id bet ALL my belongings that people would then complain about their loss of profit...

Personally i dont mind because i dont need to fly to make my money... but people dont seem to grasp that changes sometimes affects other part of the game if you didnt think it throught

Thats not even considering how this would add an other whole new branch to crimes 2.0... i mean theyre revamping the system already and its taking decades... imagine if we add more?
