I regularly see that Museum isn't considered that great for making profits. According to Yata, the profit of 1 set of flowers is currently 17k.Let's say it is 15k as some flowers were overpriced at a time. A 100m should get me enough for around 225 sets, which would make 3.3m profit. Since Museum day was a few days ago, profit should increase to up to 20k per set soon, so with only 100m and around 10 minutes of time, you can make 4.5m, which is way more profitable than flying and trading in stocks for the same amount of money and time. Or am I missing something?

What you said was true.. but when you continuously emptying the item market.. people wouldn't under cut and the prices keep increasing.
Unless you come across someone who is in desparate need of money.. you can even buy 100 sets with that kind of price tag.
The reason why traders do trades based on market price is because they do not want to increase the base rate by emptying the lot. Rather they directly purchase from fliers at a percentage profit while keeping the prices at bay.
You can still do it time to time..fly and grab few low priced sets when you land.. when you clear the available low price items.. again fly. That's the best strategy.

Or you can fly and make sets with buying other plushies where you do not fly and exchange them for sets at someone from your faction with a museum (if you don't have one).
Or you can sell as sets too. Some traders give more for sets than the combined price of individual plushies or flowers.

As DrVoid said: traders pay more for sets and for a trader the museum is a nice profit. We buy a little below market price and I usually can exchange sets everyday without buying them on the market.

Yeah buying from market is apparently good on Museum event only, many plushies and flowers in the market and can be traded for 11 points a set :)
