Let me get this right

Case 1
1000E Stacked + 720E Natural daily Regen + 150 E Point refill + 750 E( 3 xanax) in 24 hours.

VS

Case 2

150E Full Bar + 720E Natural daily Regen + 150 E Point refill + 750 E( 3 xanax) in 24 hours.

So you think the 2nd case is faster than 1st? Why is that? You get an additional 34 hits per person, thus helping the chain end faster. Basically, 3400 hits are made slower than what it should have been if, say, you were going for a 10k chain. It would take at least another 12-20 hours to make up for that. Stacking might cause an initial delay but it is less stressful for chain watchers and other members going into the chain and by not stacking you would pay for it in terms of time delay at the end of the chain.

It's more that he doesn't want to waste regen by stacking. What you sacrifice by not stacking is chain watcher's sanity. But you do gain more energy to train with.

We are considering an unstacked 10k for our next chain for exactly the reasons you mentioned. We have a very active faction with solid chain contribution so we feel comfortable letting it drag out for a little while longer. We are also a younger faction so we could use the extra trains to make some ground on the more established factions.

I also worry about the psychological effect of the chain start being less of an event because there isn’t a mad rush of attacks. That part is always kinda fun

We won’t know until we try it but we’re asking the same questions!

I did. I stack up to 1k and once drug cd ends I use vico so I can hit juicy targets for extra respect instead of just some paper targets with useless modifier.
Vicodin is fun

Yes and no, if you stack(3 xanax so 24 hours) you "waste" if noone stacks and this causes the chain to run 24 hours longer than that extra energy you gained was just lost due to putting it into the chain anyways. But you did cause 24 more hours of chain watch to be needed, you may have caused perks to be unset too soon depending on chain length.

Case 1 takes 48 to 56 (24 to 32 from 4 xanax + 24) hours and therefore wastes between 720-960 (probably around 800) energy that would have been naturally regenerated.

Case 2 takes longer chain watching.

OP is right from a math point of view- if they have solid chain watching, the non-stackers will have roughly 800 energy more per person per chain for training. That should add up to a lot over time.

But that is a lot of chain watching.

You can stack in about 28-ish hours. 35 to be off cooldown.

Also, you can use one days refill to get full health, then start stacking to 900 Taking only 3 xanax, giving you a 21-ish hour cooldown, and only sacrificing 4 hits. If you want to cut down time that much.

Would be interesting to see a poll of how many people fully stack before a chain and how many people don't do that.

We stack for convenience.
You start the chain 24 hours early. Ok, so what?
It will take you the same amount of time to finish the chain. Assume you are going for 25k or 10k chain, if you did not stack, chain watchers will have to work longer. And i assure you, i'd prefer wasting natural E then having to keep monitoring a chain for several CONSTANT hours to avoid it failing (admittedly, you can install apps like tornpda to notify you. But you'd still need to be active and ready to save a chain).

While if only 80 players in a faction stack 1k E +250 +150. That's 4,480 attacks done within an hour. However, in reality, not many stack that much E and even when they do, not many are able to use them quickly.
Still, you can save up easily a day of constant chain watching if many stack E within a faction.

Also, as far as i know, a 10k chain takes much more than 36h. At least, 3 days. And 25k is even worse.

They don't care about stopping you from training. They want to finish the chain as fast as they can because it is time consuming and actually stressful on chain watchers.

In my faction, we usually start our chain on Friday and try to finish it before Monday or at least, early on Monday because many members have work and can't be active in the middle of the week.

You lose more training time from stacking than you gain from completing the chain quicker. I've debated with a few people about this and not stacking for chains is the better option but only if the entire faction doesn't stack. I don't stack for most chains because of that loss of efficiency unless it is a war.

Mike/Prox/Crazed if you're reading this I'm lying, I always stack for chains.

its so you dont go to bed and wake up to a broken chain. the longer the bigger the chance it might break. you have to understand that somebody has to hit every 5 min or all your hardwork is for naught
