Your representing trans people at the least, but you shouldn’t represent a group of people without actually speaking with a few, instead of just blurting out what you want on a forum.
i identify as a genderfluid, which means i go by he/she pronouns. i will identify as male at a time, and female at another. the change is completely random.
im very sorry if you thought of me as the arrogant, in-your-face kind of guy. i did not meant for that to happen. i'll admit yes, this thread will make the trans community look bad, since i myself is in the trans spectrum. i beg of everyone else reading this to not think of the trans community like me, theyre all normal people just you all.
from your original post, i'll like to add on something - yes, that joke about the fridge does actually affect me. i used to suffer from depression in my childhood due to my gender dysphoria, but im proud to say im a survivor. i now work as a music teacher, and volunteer in my free time at a music and art focused therapist group - where troubled kids gets therapy in the form of creating art and music. the post about the fridge does remind me of when i used to suffer from depression with all kinds of hate messages directed at me. if i get a little too aggressive about these posts you could blame that on me and my experience

The amount of unnecessary extreme hatred presented within these 14 pages, is self-evident enough as to why issues like these still need to be addressed and discussed. Granted, OP's initial thread could have been constructed and worded better, but this is GD and not P&L.
Everyone deserves to live in comfort as they are and for who they are. Torn might be about crime, but Torn also revolves around community; factions/trading/forums. we are a close community full of users who have sometimes even dedicated decades to being here and talking to each other daily.
Torn is not a community that should project toxicity towards each other based on real life factors like race, gender, sexuality, disability or identity. There is no room for hatred towards other players based on who they are.

Totally agreed on that, that's why that we as a community here should be cautious about political agendas being played out.

I really don’t see the issue. The joke was kind of funny maybe a little transphobic, but that’s part of what makes it funny. I don’t know this for sure, but I doubt the author hates trans people or has any issues with them. What he said was a commentary on the absurdity (from a societal perspective) of some of the claims and attitudes people make and have. This new thread plays into the joke even more as the overreaction is part of the culture he is parodying. Maybe the forum wasn’t right place for him to make that joke, but that’s for the mods to decide.
