I reached an ELO of 3000 a couple of days ago and I've been continuing to hit the few that count towards improving my rating. I just checked to see what my rating was at and it hasn't moved.

Capped at level 100.
Capped at ELO of 3000

I guess this means that my ELO targets will get a respite.

Yup, there's a theoretical limit of 3000 in the Elo rating system. BTW it's not ELO, it's Elo, it's a system named after someone, not an acronym.

Funny thing, if a group attacked you with a triple-digit Elo rated player getting the finishing hit, it'd tank the f**k out of your rating. You should work out something like you did for the trout merit.

Riddle me this: If two 3,000 Elo players enter two fights against one other, each with a single win and single loss, what is their new Elo?

... the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking this might need to be a bug report since Elo is based on a mathematical formula with no ceiling. That said, we don't really know the actual purpose of Elo outside of just a fun number to look at. There's a lot of speculation that it may be used for ranked warring one day, but again... just speculation.

There wouldn't be two 3,000 Elo players both with a single win and loss. Just speculation here, and I know you're good at math so you can confirm or rebuke it, but I'd imagine the Gain/Loss in rating between them would be so small that they would both remain at 3,000. It would probably take a long series of games between them to make any discernible change.

Elo is a zero-sum rating system though, so there would never be two 3,000 Elo players at any given time.

Edit to add: it is based on a mathematical formula that I can't make sense out of, not gonna lie it's beyond me, but I've looked into the system enough to know it makes going above 3,000 virtually impossible. But that's a result of diminishing returns to the point where it would take a very concerted effort to go above it, maybe some time within the next 10 years?

You definitely need an award, you have a bad habit of getting Chedded @chedburn someone already broke your limit...also it's the same someone as usual.

I think the honor bar should have a depiction of the hall of fame in the middle and 2 middle fingers, one on each side pointing at it.
