Lag has been mentioned many times and it is very noticeable.
This is only a war between 2 factions. There may be other wars, but it doesn't seem that we're ready for Elimination with 1200 triggers and chatroom fury.
Nope all's clear, Torn's as smooth and as fast as it's ever been before.
Is there some specific action that it slow? A video would most certainly help, perhaps it's something specific which is causing an accidental loading delay.

- it's back to normal now - it was most noticeable on the attack screen - in group attacks, I would hit, wait for the other hitters (like in a Duke attack), then hit again. However, the delay after a hit was so long that sometimes many actions happened, including new players joining or the fight ending without any response from the server to let me know. - so, it was like hit, wait, hit, wait, hit, wait..... (long), then the notification that the fight had ended. - there is a little extra delay in Duke attacks at the end, but it was not like that - most noticeable during the war - the last couple hours of the war, when things were almost normal it had gone away - so it seems related the amount of attacks/activity
Can anyone else testify or provide evidence of the lag? Maybe give the staff something specific to investigate?
But I am not sure what's the cause as I had multiple windows open for quick boosting and moving on to next target as a result sometimes I have entered some fights where someone was already there as it did not show up.
Yes, there was lag when hitting solo or group (more in groups). Pressing weapon to attack and it would start rolling the loading icon up to 5 seconds before doing the hit constantly.
Also the confirmation is missing, if someone else finishes group attack. We would take turns on attacks to utilize distraction. P1 attacks, P2 attacks, P1 attacks, P2 attacks and finishes fight. P1 doesn't see distraction counter going up or the fight ending, until he decides to take an action.
I noticed quite a few times that I'd be in a group attack and sit around waiting (~5-10s) for distraction procs to hit, then I attack and it suddenly says the fight is over. The log subsequently shows significant amounts of hits happening, none of which showed on my end. Similar to Hawk, these weren't quite so prevalent during the end stages of the war. Also, multiple white screens for a good ~5-6s when trying to open the loader (i.e., opening their attack loader page). Also multiple times where actions lagged for a good 4-5s, but that's not unique to wartime for me. ='(
It's possible it's an end user thing, either due to my location (Aus always gets the shortest straw), scripts (TT, maybe?), or too many tabs open. Unfortunately, similar to mah boi Hawk, I didn't take a video. If there's nothing found, I'll test it during Elim assuming it's still around and take a video with scripts off.
On our end the maximum delay we saw was 3.1 seconds, just once. So frustratingly we're unable to track / replicate the slowness ourselves. By the time we get to such reports, the war is already over.
These comments seem to advise that the slowness is actually during the attack - not at the end of the attack. But also regarding socket delays (failure to update the attack log with any new group attack hits).
I'll need to ask Pavel to see if he can figure out how we can begin to track this stuff, as I'm out of ideas.
We have very detailed logging / tracking available on a per-user basis, but by the time we add it, it's already too late. If anyone is reliably experiencing this slowness we need to be made aware of it ASAP so we can track your attacks to find the culprit.
The easiest way would be to ping bogie or Cloudjumper who'll get in touch with me. Hopefully once we're aware of what the issue is, the solution will be trivial.
I did not personally notice a lag when hitting "Start Fight", but sometimes when hitting the "Attack" button to load the attack screen.
I also had the issue like Nihar mentioned where I entered some fights when someone was already there but they did not show on my screen (they had started the fight and engaged the target 1+ times already --- it wasn't because we started the fight at nearly the same time).
Now I'm operating from memory which isn't always the best. I've got my video capture software ready if it starts happening again.
Hard to have a video of something that happens seemly randomly.
Two or three nights ago there were less than 50 people attacking duke, yet it took wayyyyyyy too long for my attacks to register. I wasnt able to get off the full 25 that I can do when the attack group is full. I managed to get like half that.
Is it suggested to ping staff as soon as we are experiencing this instead of a bug report?
Last slow request by your userID was recorded on 29th of July. How exactly this lag looked like? When exactly you experienced slowness - on fight start, during the fight or on fight finish?
Right now my chat has disappeared related to this bug report here. Maybe extra logs can help figure out the issue. Happening all day.
Edit: Closing Phone App fixed issue. Was opened the entire time without issue in the background then suddenly chat boxes gone. Will try to keep Phone app closed to see if repeated without.
Edit 2: Several Updates on thread linked above. Please track.
