So these folks hitting early are taking these NPCs down all by their lonesome?

Or does the rest of the community join in and kill the NPC before the loot level reaches 4?

People starting early causes an unfortunate and almost inevitable feeding frenzy.

Once distraction starts moving up - as the early starters get the ball rolling - that's it... Folks start to worry that they're not going to be able to get their hits in, so it snowballs, more and more people join in, and then the NPC dies at 99%.

So the early starters might not be soloing the NPCs, but they don't actually need to in order to be disruptive to the rest of the community.

Usually I see the early starters die and everyone else starts at 4.

That is an important distinction that has escaped many, I think. Akin to having a wank, and juuuuust before the end-zone, deciding to look at a picture of your mom. What a waste.

You act like your innocent! I posted a screenshot of yourself and faction mate jumping early! You told me you guys were allowed to jump early since your faction tests weapons.

I still don't get it. If one guy hits early why does the rest of the crowd chase the hits. They can all just wait till Level 4 and make the hits right. And the single guy who hit early will die.

But why this system of Justice. Someone could lag and miss-click or haz phat fingers xD

I mean I did not read instructions coming in saying NPCs have to be attacked at this percentage or this level. Its just something we all made and follow and sometimes mistakes happen.

You don't have to acknowledged anything nor explain anything. People are 100% free to attack NPC's whenever they like.

It's not a crime or against any rules. It's an inconvenience to some other players but so are a lot of things without people making hit list in GD.

This is just plain bullying, do it my way or else..

There is bullying, and then there are social norms that help people learn to be decent humans. The human who hasn’t learned to be decent yet might feel bullied because decent humans make them feel like shit for beings dicks. In the long run, when you learn to not be a dick you end up happier. It’s not the same as bullying. Bullying benefits the individual. Helping a person learn social norms helps society.


Let’s look at the random thread where a person bitches about the mysterious bounties he’s gotten. It almost always results in more bounties being put on the OP. It’s the social norm that the majority of forum participants don’t want to read these threads. So to teach the lesson a bounty fest on the op ensues. The lesson is learned. It might seem like bullying, but just a few examples teach many who might not know better to not to go to the forums to bitch about bounties.

I get what you are trying to say but I think it's rather funny that you talk about decency in an online crime game..

Cayman muggers, buy muggers, scammers, billion dollar guys who manipulate the market and so on.. All of this are people playing the game the way it suits them best and it's a f**king annoyance to the rest of us. This post is just Andyman trying to threatening people to play it the way that benefit him the most..

And when he decides to put out a public shaming list we are way beyond teaching lessons..

I sound like I'm sitting on my moral high horse, I know.. that was not intended, i find it annoying as well when people jump early on the npc's but people shouldn't feel the need for apologizing to Andyman just for playing the game in a way that he doesn't find beneficial..

This thread reminds me a lot of buy mugger lists.

One early fat-fingered miss click doesn't get you on the list. Only multiple consecutive clicks, or multiple NPCs "early miss clicks" get you on the list. Load image: smiley

If your playstyle is to get several NPCs attacks in with your friends at 15% at Loot Level 3, we got no problem. If your playstyle is to get several NPC attacks in right at 99%, we got a problem.

Agreed...a certain circle of players think they are the Torn gatekeepers.

Its amusing. Reminds me of high school. Some never grow out of such.

I'm not arguing what is most beneficial, we can all agree that early jumpers are irritating.

I'm arguing that putting out a list so people feel the need to apologize to you, because their way of playing doesn't suits you, is a bit immature..
