[420+] "Close all Chats" button

17 pages… I’m sure I’ve commented before. I would be against this change as I normally keep certain chats open and read so I can easily go back to them as a reference or to check up on things I’ve said to people to see if they are ok. I’d be annoyed if these all closed on a click of a button.

Wouldn’t it be easier for you to just close the chats yourself? It doesn’t take that long to do and only a few clicks. Open the chat, check it, x it. It’s gone.


It may be easier to add a feature to Torntools to do this for you if you really wanted it.

Make a report in the bugs forum to get ched response (it is way over 250 R+)
And we need this implementation as soon as possible :D

I'm a mobile only player , I can't use torntools.... everyday I have to close 10-20 chats a day multiple times since if you close it on the mobile side and they don't it pops back up.

I have 27 chats open right now that take up 1/3 of my screen, why can't I have a button to close them all ?

Edit* you close tens of chats everyday for years and then tell me it's easier to do it one by one.

Like Ghetosmoker said, this is a pain on mobile.
There is and can be a script for everything, but it's not gonna work properly on mobile (unless I install a different browser which will make everything sluggish).

One of the main issues is using different devices. Several people jump from pc to mobile. Most of the time when you close your chats on PC and you move on to mobile, they will pop up again, and you will need to close them all over again (hence the main issue). This ends up going from closing all your chats on a device, to closing all chats on another device all over.
I am not sure if chats are cached or not, and hence the issue, but it's a common one.

As for what you said, the suggestion is to put a close all chat button somewhere in the settings tray.

If you want to keep all your chats, you do nothing. (Like Adrenalinas pointed out)
If you want to close your chats, you go to the settings icon, click close chats.

A user error of clicking 2 different buttons at 2 different screen locations is the equivalent of accidentally clicking the leave faction "X" button then confirming with "leave again".

There is a Torn Tools feature that closes all chats already. It's been there for a long time now.

It does have a ched response, on page 14.

He also replied in the original bug report thread.

Bro, even if you are a mobile user, you could use Kiwi Browser.

Its just Chromium(base Google Chrome for PC) + Mobile Patches + PC Extensions support.

And it is open source. You can even get it from their Github page instead of Play Store.

Wow man good thing you've came along , people never would have thought of using a different browser that could use extensions such as kiwi or puffin.

Oh wait it was mentioned just a page ago..... I've tried those browsers and they are nowhere near as fast or smooth as the androids standard browser.

Not sure why you are even chiming in on here , it's OK for you to suggest adding a button so you can copy something since right clicking is to hard for you but it's not ok for me to want a better way than closing 30 chats a day.

Why isn't this a thing yet???
