Is bidding by a friend (for instance faction members or rl friends) in an auction against the rules? Since it is artificially pimping the price to gain self profit.
It might be that when the auction ends and the ‘friend’ bought the item it gets transferred back via trade… so a Zero result occurs.
no its not, some people dont like it (although to be honest the ones who dont like it are the ones who were not able to beat the bid and are pissed off the couldnt get an easy deal)
but its not against the rules, ive done it for friends and had friends do it for me, its the same as in real life auctions where the auctioneer sets the minimum bid. thats not illegal, neither is this
Remember you still have to pay auction fees if your friend wins, so not truly net zero.
It's not even a scam - it's not like you can make someone pay more than they are prepared to pay. It costs the commission, and is your only protection against an unreasonable sale.
