Depends on your model of phone. For screenshots on android, it's usually press the "power" and "volume down" buttons at the same time. Apple devices are power & volume up, or power and the home button if it's an older one.
You can then upload it to imgur or an equivalent site, and send the link to that image to the organisers.

Why can't you just google how to take a screenshot with your phone?
Motorola is the 3 fingers approach, no not that one, it's the other one.. where you push your 3 fingers on the phone screen at the same time.. may have to attempt once or twice
