looks like you need to refresh sooner, I always reload Torn a minute before landing. The screen and timer has gone bad for me many times if I'm gone for a while.

Why are you so condescending? You've been here 162 days, think how long he's been playing wherein this patch did not exist.
Report in bugs an issues. They will have access to logs for landing time.
I’m not being condescending. You can’t cry and accuse someone of cheating and say the game is broken and then prove yourself wrong and expect to not be called out
Please stop crying on the forums if you can't be helpful to anyone.
Its questions and answers. Being condescending here serves no purpose. Help and move on
How is he accusing people of cheating? Did you even read the original post? He post a perfectly understandable question.
This seems like players are exploiting, but perhaps someone can educate me differently?
Yes, I’m the one that can’t read.
The fact is, OP exaggerated everything in the OP, has now posted his logs to show he was in fact outside the 15s mug protection that his thread asked for… what more do people want?
It seems like it
I.e that's what it appears to him but nowhere does he accuse said players
Perhaps someone can educate me differently
He's willing to accept it's legal if someone can answer?
I think English is perhaps a second language for you.

Well, if it was 25 min exactly, it looks like they mugged you exactly 15 second after you landed, so not two seconds as claimed.
Either way, they got $37 whole dollars. There are probably scripts for people traveling to or from the Caymans.

Well, confirmed that mug protection works if you can tell the time. :)
Also, remember kids, Pops is a very amicable guy…

There's a free one available through the creator's discord. I'll link the thread if I find it. Should be in script forum. It tracks people with very high networth travelling to caymans. Tracking is legal, using the script to automate the attack is illegal, since that would be the script playing the game for you.
I think a api scrape of all bazaars would be great as well. Or maybe just networth along with battlestat range/xan/xtc taken. There are several buy mug scripts that calculate the approximate value and buy mug values of items in bazaars. Havent seen a site that shows these in a more readable format. Most seem to use discord bots to get this info.

The animation of the plane (the timer) often has issues, you should reload it like a minute before landing.
If you doubt this in the future you can check your logs and you can see when you actually landed + when you were attacked.
But there will always be a 15 sec gap
Also knowing when you +- land can easily be done with legal scripts,
In the api you can see if someone is in the caymans, or traveling.
When the status changes from caymans to traveling, you know their departure time, that time + the travel time is the estimated arrival time.
There are some randomness in this (flight times have a small random factor)
When flying to the caymans it will have a +- 1 minute random factor.
edit: just saw logs were posted and that its already been explained people cant attack within 15 seconds

Would a script be able to determine when the targets land in that country (like a stakeout), or will it have to be done via just refreshing attack page?
18:48:45 - 17/10/21 You boarded a 0h 30m personal flight from Canada to Torn
19:18:55 - 17/10/21 You added $58,989,641 to a trade with **** increasing the total to $213,074,741 [view]
19:19:02 - 17/10/21 Someone anonymously mugged you for $0 sending you to hospital for 0h 44m [view]
An example of mug protection in action! Thank you, kind fans :)

Refresh only. The script will give you a window.
yes that would be possible, but thats not how most of these are run.
More pratical way is to estimate the arrival time (the api has a 30 seconds cache, so you would otherwise often be late) and every person is an api call, so you want to limit the amount of times you check 1 person.
So usually you scan people till they leave the country (caymans in this example) and if you know that, you will know their arrival time +- 1 minute. and then you will stop scanning them.
At that time you just refresh the attack page every 5 seconds (once they land it will show the 15 sec, cant attack warning)

What a lovely thread.
Yes, the mugging scripts are real. Yes, there have been many of them made now. Yes, they are legal.
I'm not against mugging in the game, however, it does suck that these simps have just about ruined the function. There is no skill in it anymore, just fat nerds running scripts and clicking buttons when they are told to.
