I don't see this problem anymore from a lot of time now.
I can't speak for other players who still have this problem though.

im also having this issue. i currently have the chat open on my chrome browser on my phone with a specific player but it will not open on my pc chrome browser

Iv had the same problem trying to chat with one of my members Mrva it seems like the problem is with my end as other members can contact him

also, Mrva confirms that this isn't the first time this has happened to him

This issue of not seeing the chat comes and goes depending on it's mood. Using Firefox and on windows 10 Pro. I can see it on my phone using samsung internet and desktop mode.

same as above but on pc. ive noticed something. usually i'll get tabs coming up about the time europe has most off line and most of the usa is preparing for a night of sleep. perhaps the overload is some of the trouble.

some times they last for hours or come back from time to time. during the day in the usa i seldom get chat boxes back

now im going to say chat boxes might be fixed. the change started yesterday. im unsure exactly when but maybe about a whole day ago. i havent lost chat boxes once which is way, way longer than normal. i'll give another update later on

i was on my way back from china and lost chats a couple of times and then nothing half way back. im returning from china again and still no chats on my travel page.

if you look, its info required. almost back from china. still no chat boxes under travel tab.. something new. i just got hit with several 505 or 550 errors. i cant remember which

Congratulation on getting another unrelated thread locked up because of your inability to comprehend simple responses. I will quote my last message to you

This report is not related to Chat issues. The report related to chat issues has already been addressed over here, which I also have locked since you kept bumping it. As mentioned in the other report, the chat issues on Firefox are not due to changes on Torn side and hence cannot be addressed by us, the developer has confirmed this. Perhaps you can put as much effort to make Firefox fix the issue as you have spent on bumping up dead reports, or maybe consider changing to another browser while you wait for Firefox to fix the issue.

This is your last warning on this, do not bump up dead reports, specially the ones which have no relation to the issue that the OP of the report has mentioned. Continuing to do so will result in official warnings and bans.


The issue that you keep bringing up is something that is from Firefox side, as explained here and also as confirmed by Dima above. So either try switching your browser or go harass the Firefox team to address this the same way you keep spamming random reports.

Based on discussion with bogie, I am issuing this one final verbal warning to you. If you derail another report, or submit a duplicate report on this issue again, or bump up another dead and unrelated bug report, I will have no option but start issuing official warnings and forum wide bans.
