I mean, I know this is not a big deal cause Duke usually sends me Yucca Plants and Sport Shades... but I only got two parcels back for three money sends and I should have gotten three. Last send was almost 11 hours after the second, it's the one that didn't get anything sent back.

Newspaper article was very specific about the times. Duke's Parcel Giveaway has returned and will run for the duration of October 31st. To take part, all you have to do is send Duke a certain sum of money between 00:00 and 23:59 on Hallowe'en. If you send him the correct amount, you will receive a parcel containing a random item, and you can repeat the process roughly every six hours to receive a maximum of four parcels during the event.
So yeah, got cheated out of a Yucca Plant. Or maybe an SED. Or maybe Sugarvalves is making stuff up again for the paper, but it appears the packages didn't get sent at the end of Halloween and should have.
Same, seems that old dukey stopped sending anything after 2359 even if the cash was sent before that.

Duke only sends out the parcel before 23:59 and it takes a few minutes after you send the money for Duke to send you the parcel (as you can imagine it is a VERY busy day for Duke). If you did not receive the last parcel, it means that you left it too late to send your money.

Nowhere does it say the Parcel has to be delivered by 23:59 all it says is the correct amount of money must be sent by that time... not sure how it is possible for you to suggest that we have any control on how swiftly DUKE delivers, all we can control is when we send the money to him.
I wasn't aware that parcels were not sent after the 23:59 deadline. We've run these for years, and I've always been given the impression that if you pay Duke the right amount right up to the deadline he'll send you one 10-15 minutes later provided you hadn't received one under six hours previously. If that's not the case then I apologise, but that's how it should be, as I created these as full 24 hour events. Sorry for the confusion. Definitely not the fault of anyone sending their cash late as I've always said it runs up to midnight. I'll look into it now.
You could just make Duke crabby about last minute customers next time around... threaten not to send to a package out if you send money last minute. It would certainly be in character for him...
But obviously if you can make it work that would be good too.
Haha it would definitely be in character, but we've actually sorted it now. Sorry for the missed parcels. From now on the parcel giveaways will work fully all the way up to midnight. I've been told that previously you could send cash at 23:45 the night before and receive parcels at 00:00, with the cash window closing at 23:45 the next night. Apparently, it was built like this due to the way the cron works, but Chedburn has now found a workaround so that cash sends will trigger parcels from 00:00 to 00:00, meaning it works as expected. Sorry for the faff.
