What happened to hank is heart breaking and I must say that this is the worst kind of scam that can happen to someone...the guy gave years of his life for this faction...may be the game is all pixels but our time we give here is real..

Not our fault you can't keep family matters in the family. Don't air your dirty laundry and then get upset when people ridicule your foolishness. From the outside looking in, we are all trying to piece together what's happening from butt hurt members and getting pertinent information piece by piece.

Had you done research on R you would have known this isn't the first faction family they have headed and ruined.

Their leadership took the exact same "my way or the highway" stance with UR.

Conveniently enough that merger server was deleted when we needed answers from it as well. Most of their "leaders" also retired enough to only help when it came to their own pockets.

This is standard protocol for them.

It's a shitty thing to lose that much investment. But in and out of retirement and only caring what's happening when it's all down in the shitter is only damage control.

If you only address problems after they have blown out of proportion you're always gonna lose.

For the record, I don't speak for any faction and have no motive or dog in this fight but man is it fun seeing the 2 dirtiest factions (imo) in torn tear themselves down.

7 were exclusively very clear support for your stance, wanting Batman to return the faction, with VERY little room in their posts to think they thought otherwise.
And 7 of 12 is majority.
The other 5 had varying themes
Not many of the 12 could be considered by anyone to be spinning the story for our own pr.

It's just our members posting what they feel. Most of them supporting you.
So that kinda hurts :( :p

What ulterior motive ? There is absolutely ZERO doubt that if M, ME, MR and TUS came knocking on Cryptos door, they get that ass waxed nice and proper. I think I speak for all of Crypto when I say we would have much rather your demise came at our hands than Bats having to take such a drastic measure to prevent exactly what he, myself, and many others predicted would happen, but were assured by Hank and other R leads would not ever happen. Am I happy that I was right all along and now its plain for all to see? Yeah, I mean kinda, who doesnt love being right, but its something I was ok being wrong about as well, because our gang is tougher than your gang and we couldnt wait to prove it. :-)

Yeah, Bats was anti-merge the whole time, because he was one of the very few that wasnt willing to sell his soul or the reputation that R had built to kowtow to a bunch of morally lacking people that just wanted to take over a top respect faction because their play style reduced their original one to rubble. He made it clear he wasnt down with the merge from jump street, because he knew damn well what was gonna happen, and it took what ? 2 weeks for RA and his squad to start the Flight-Delay debacle. Then the big push from the Scum Squad to fight old Mentos enemies rather than take a shot at real progression made it even more clear... they werent there to build something new, they were there to use the nice perks and built in muscle to serve their own agendas. Bats fought against that at every turn, and got ostracized big time for it. With the "if ya cant beat em, join em" mentality that was exhibited by the old R leads, including Hank and RG becoming more and more prevalent, the dude was really fighting a 1 man war.

But he hung in there, which was harder and harder every day for one reason and one reason only... because he loved his faction and told everyone from the get go, he would never ever allow it to become Mentos 2.0. Instead of just walking away, which would have personally been much easier for him as a player, he took the bullshit, fought the good fight alone, and eventually, even if it cost him his own game, did exactly what he said he would do from day 1....

Whatever it took to protect R from those who would destroy it.

I'll say the same thing that I say when this sort of thing happens to smaller factions. Don't put anything you're not willing to risk where it can be taken by others. That includes bazaar items, companies, faction vault money, and yes, even factions themselves.

Buymugging is a scam. Tricking people into accepting empty trades is a scam. Holding factions hostage is a scam. Just because your faction allows it doesn't make it any less of a scam.

So congrats to Hank on his 40 million, congrats to realist on his 400 million, congrats to Batman on his 400 billion, and sorry to all of the members of Monarch that didn't have this coming.

No one tricked you, or abused your personal trust for their gain.

Two points:
1) Buymugging isn't scamming
2) Ask your faction mate about the faction he robbed.

It's still putting control of money into the hands of others. There's an level of trust (or risk tolerance) that comes with putting items on sale when I'm not around to deposit them. By putting that item in my bazaar, I'm agreeing to sell it at that price, and in buying it, you're agreeing to pay that price. Stealing that money from me after buying it is no less "wrong" than what Batman did, and what Batman did was no more "right" than me getting buymugged. The only difference is in the volume and the amount of people involved.

No different from trade mugging, trade cancelling, etc.

They're all ways to steal money from someone outside the terms of a transaction.

It's just really easy to dismiss buymugging because of the small scale, but it's still taking money from another player without their explicit consent.

Not to derail, but under your definition then mugging period is scamming which it obviously isn’t.

2: Please, fill me in. I'm totally unaware of this, as I don't really pay attention to roster changes.

Personally, I've never used faction vaults for storing my personal assets, and I never will exactly because of things like this. I don't put what I'm not willing to risk where I don't have control over it. I have to shake my head every time I see something like this, because there are so many alternatives that there is no need to use the faction vault as a personal bank.

I put that Cesium on the bazaar and let it ride knowing full well that I would get robbed of ~10% of it, so I put it 10% higher than what I wanted. Just because it's expected behavior doesn't make it any more righteous or.acceptable. If I put a lot of value in my bazaar, there is a chance I will get robbed for it. If someone puts a lot of value into their faction or faction vault and then hands the reigns over, or even worse, they don't have control over the reigns and someone else hands them over, there is a chance they will get robbed for it.

Maybe I'm conflating "scamming" with "stealing" in general.

Personally, I don't see any moral difference between the two, so maybe I'm not expressing my views clearly here.

Stealing is stealing, and it's part of the game, whether done through mugging, scamming, deceit, whatever, and people should at least be prepared for it, if not expect it.

The only part that really matters is what your targets can do to you, and in this case, his target is a couple hundred people, so good luck to him with that.
