i referred my friend and i don't want him to get benefits every 10 levels i reach is it possible to remove it?

I wouldn't recommend you going out of ur way to negatively affect his gameplay, but u can level hold and do it if u wanna be that big of a twat.
if you referred them then you will get the benefits every 10 levels that they reach rather than the other way around if i'm not mistaken
sorry i meant the other way round then because he got the rewards when i reached level 10, so is there any way to remove it?

I too want to remove my refer, but what can be done? I didn't even notice it at the start and by the time i did, i couldn't just restart my game character that i worked hard on.
I saw the torn link on another website, i was just looking for a nice game to play then. My refer never even helped me, not even give tutorial link at the start, just playing dead, so i am not really happy about him/her getting benefits at my expenses.

Its not at your expense at all. You play like you normally would. The costs aren't coming from your account.
The referral reward isn't for making you a great player. It's basically for introducing you to the game, which they did.
Sure, it would be nice if they also helped you in the game, and they do get rewards every ten levels you gain. But the real merit is for getting you to join.
Typically, if someone recruits 20 people, maybe 2 or 3 of them stay in the game. So the leveling reward is paying them for a large number of "attempts", only a few of which succeed.
If the recruiter has to give money and items to 20 people in hopes that 2 or 3 stick around and level up, he's going to be losing money by recruiting. And giving people money or items does NOT ensure they will stay.
This is how the wiki page is oriented. You can see the emphasis is on "recruiting" .
