Roulette poker is a variant of Texas Hold 'Em in which you are restricted in how you can bet:
  • Pre-flop you can only CALL or FOLD
  • After the flop you can either shove (ALL-IN) or FOLD
  • Additionally, you are required to (and automatically) top-off or re-buy as needed, so you start each hand with at least the buy-in amount.
  • Example: Buy-in is set at 100k. Big Blind starts with 100k, Small Blind starts with 50k. You can call to 100k or fold. After the flop, you can choose to go ALL-IN or fold. After each hand, your buy-in amount is topped up to the minimum.
It would be interesting to see a new game-style on poker.
Even just a weekend special type of thing would be pretty cool.

Let me know what you think.

No. Just no.

Why? Well first of all, "even just weekend special" will never happen. Why they would invest all that time needed to create a system like this just so it could be used for a weekend? I mean it must involve quite a lot of coding behind the scenes, since it works with different rules and mechanics as normal poker action on the hands. That needs to be defined and that needs coding.

And if they are ready to code that and invest time for such things (poker games with different set of rules), then I would much rather see something like Omaha being added than this RR version of poker.

I appreciate the feedback and I agree that it would no doubt take skill to code such an odd variant of poker. You're only changing simple game rules, though. If they've already created the game I couldn't imagine that it would be any additional difficulty to mix up the style. The target audience is for the players who enjoy Texas hold'em, which is usually quite a decent amount.

Many people are obsessed with winning large amounts of money in the quickest time possible. The thrill of risky odds with heaps of money is exhilarating, especially when you win.
You may not see it, but there is potential behind this idea.
It's not as complex as it looks. If you had it on the table, it could become a favorite of yours as well.

It's like Russian roulette but with poker (except no one gets hurt). It's fair odds between everyone and it's all about taking that risk, which tornizens seem to love.

Also to mention, I've only played Omaha a handful of times and I've never developed a taste for it. But, everyone has their opinions, right?
