I am seeing the below error message on My Faction page under all the activity tabs:
"The daily read limit has been reached. This is likely due to an inefficient script requesting data unnecessarily with your API key."

I deleted my API in Settings but am unable to generate a new API key. I have the same issue using Chrome and mobile app.

Please advise on how to resolve. Thank you.

Besides the 100 calls a minute API limit, there also exist 3 limits.

These 3 limits are all for 100k results, shared between the api and in-game and apply to:
  • the activity log
  • faction news
  • personal stats (I personally don't understand how that would work though)
Like the message says, you probably have a script/tool running that doesn't use the "from" and "to" parameters to not waste those limits.

So how do I generate a new API key? Since I am not sure how to stop the other scripts, I deleted my original API key.

So I managed to generate a new API key. However I still cannot see My Faction logs. Do I need to wait until new day please?

As mentioned above, there's a daily read limit which is high enough to not be an issue for a regular player. If you are reaching this limit, you are either using an inefficient API script or making wayy too many requests on Faction news or Personal stats (basically anything that runs off cloud storage).

Your account will get unlocked at midnight TCT, but I would recommend you to check in detail what action is causing this to avoid doing this in the future.
