How much of CBC's broadcasting is affected by FOIPOP issues, political interference, and the prior muzzling of scientists.

For a time Don Cherry was making about 900k/year to put on about 60 hours of HNiC, and a lot of his statements were completely irrelevant to the game being broadcast.

I do not agree with such. There are many passive aggressive actions taken against RT that are noticeable if you pay attention. Even within MS Windows/Edge.

Satellite feed broadcasts throttled, etc.

There are times RT covers factual topics in Western nations, that Western press remains blacked out on, only to acquiesce typically 7 days later. Not because it was a minor matter of little import, but rather, not suitable to keep the brand healthy.

No, but when they already have an answer as soon as something happens without needing to investigate first; I mostly just find it suspect they feel they already know as soon as it happens. As soon as 9/11 happened, they already "knew" who was behind it. Just as I found it suspicious when almost every news outlet reported they knew for a fact COVID could not have come from a lab before anyone could research it even; assuming a new virus.

As for the Bush thing, that newly declassified document where ex-CIA Agent says Bush knew all about what he was doing & was there; even though he claims not to makes him very suspect. Nixon lost to Kennedy, but when he did become President made him Chairman of the Republican Committee & Ambassador to the UN.

"MORROW ALSO CLAIMS THAT U.S. PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH HAD FULLKNOWLEDGE OF THE ASSASSINATION CONSPIRACY, THOUGH HE D!D NOT SPECIFY WHEN 3USH, DIRECTOR OF THE CIA FROM 1976 TO 1977, MIGETHAVE BECOME AWARE. OF IT. GEORGE BUSH KNEW EVERYTHING,:: SAID MORROW.

That's from the NSA website.

speaking of FOI, did you catch Archives Canada suggesting it would take 75 years to fill a request?

:)

Another cute thing they'll do with large files is after printing is dump them and put everything out of page or chronological order and leave you with a f**king mess to clean up. Or make them redo and then it takes forever.

CBC isn't as stymied as complicit. J Ireton and I had a long chat one day, and from that much was revealed. 2 hours+ phone call that was recorded.

Oh I've noticed as much with regards to a bit of RT coverage. I just wanted your position on the RT and DW row which is a separate issue.

The row first broke out when the Russian state RT was told to stop airing its German-language channel in Germany.
The ZAK media regulator, which decides whether private organisations can broadcast nationwide in Germany, banned RT DE programmes, saying the channel lacked the necessary permission.
In a statement on Wednesday, ZAK said RT DE held "no other permit that is legitimate under European law" and had not been granted a licence.
The Russian broadcaster says it is operating under a valid Serbian licence in line with European law and stated that it will challenge the regulator’s decision in court.

Yes I'm familiar and disagree with such tactics. Same as FB now banning the accounts of those that are administrators of the GoFundMe for the Freedom Convoy. Or Twitter banning accounts of those with the credentials to make the statements they are. Or the nonsense Neil Young is pulling with respect to Spotify and Joe Rogen.

There are many learned folk decrying the censorship and retributive actions oft taken, even prematurely as with a case in Ottawa.

Witch Hunts are alive and well in this day and age.

Have noticed they cover a lot of stuff the MSN in the US will avoid,

"According to Adam Johnson in The Nation magazine, "While Russia Today toes the Kremlin’s line on foreign policy, it also provides an outlet to marginalized issues and voices stateside. RT, for example, has covered the recent prison strikes—the largest in American history—twice. So far CNN, MSNBC, NPR, and Rutenberg’s employer, The New York Times, haven’t covered them at all. RT aggressively covered Occupy Wall Street early on while the rest of corporate US media were marginalizing from afar (for this effort, RT was nominated for an Emmy Award)."

So while I don't really watch them regular & just youtube clips; but will often notice they'll cover stuff the western media would rather pretend isn't happening.

"Zwick also wrote that RT provided a "disproportionate amount of time" to covering libertarian Republican Ron Paul during his 2012 presidential campaign."

I didn't watch RT to notice, but had noticed the MSN Media did a complete blackout where they wouldn't even say his name. Even John Stewert who is a Liberal pointed it out, in even mentioning it he gave Ron Paul more coverage than all the MSM stations combined. So do think RT does good sometimes in covering stuff the MSN wants to censor out of people's minds.

Was ironic back when John Steward was host, despite being a parody news network; would report more real news than the actual media. Although after he got replaced, not even worth watching and just propaganda mostly. Do remember when Hannity got snowballs thrown at him by angry Ron Paul supporters for the complete blackout on Ron Paul, even if he tries acting more libertarian leaning now; will always remember him most for his bias against Ron Paul. Got Obama twice because the Republican party would rather nominate losers with no support than someone who had big crowds and massive support. Despite the media pretending he didn't exist, did even get 3rd in many states in the primary; but MSM would cut it off and only show top 2 in a state when that would happen to avoid mentioning him.

True, I just want to point out that wanting to be edgy racist, and say "black, muslim or China is not a race, so you can't report me for being racist" is way worse than what El did

Was he really president?

We all thought it was some game show, over in Europe, where the hosts let the poor sod thought he was winning!
