I'm quite new to this game and I was wandering how it is that you increase your working stats. (Manual, endurance, those kind of things) It says for most jobs that you need a 2 on at least two stats to do anything, but all of mine are at 0. Just looking for some help so I can make some money.

City job is best for that. Start in grocery if I can make a suggestion. The cans you get can be sold for good money. You'll also get work stats

First of all you should be aware that this is a long term game, so unlike other games, it takes time to improve and unlock achievements.

There's two ways to increase your Job Stats:
- Education Courses: each education course you take will grant you some points to your job stats when you finish the course (you can find it following the 'city' tab and clicking on 'Education')
- Job / Companies: Each job / company will grant you a number of points to your job stats by the end of every company day (which is roughly at 18:00 - 18:15 torn city time). It might be difficult to find a job at a company at your level / job stats, so I'd recommend joining a city job (like the army), which you already did and wait until you have enough job stats that a company will take you in. You need to wait until 18:00 - 18:15 to see those points get delivered to you though.

Imo getting into armory is better. Ideally you shouldnt stay in grocery long enough to start getting cans lol

The issue is, initially, you have 0 workstats. So the companies (and stars) you can join are super limited. That necessitates a workstats first approach early on. That means getting into army (not because of worstats but because it'd be useful to have some jp in it for later) for maximum of 5 days ( the jp you need to get promoted). In the meantime look for low requirement companies to work for with high stats, since stars mean they have more trains available. Your initial goal is just to get workstats asap. Join them and watch your workstats grow quick. You can get into Scott careers later for the passives. Most likely at the stats when you can fastrack them (see teslas city career Fastrack guide)

As a addition to the ton of info above, there's also a great wiki page for work stats.

You can still work in any company with 0 work stats across the board theoretically. The thing is, just like in real life, someone with no experience in a job usually is not efficient at all so isn't getting the company any profit. Go for the city jobs, those are good to start with (choose whatever you like, you can switch when you want or when you play more seriously after a while).

You get workstats every real time day if you work somewhere, so better join something today to start getting workstats for higher end companies.

Good luck!

As an aside, you'll want to be fully promoted in some of the city jobs anyways - you need to be fully promoted in the Medical job to do revives, the Education job gives you -10% edu time, and the Law job gives a 10% passive crime success rate.
