the points have not been trading well. the economy is weak.

if the volume of points traded, and sets exchanged are shown, i think it will confirm. low volume = weak economy and conversely.

I get where you're coming from, but torn is, essentially, a PvP game, not PvE. Unlimited wealth accumulation without any big risks makes the game boring.

Specifically wrt to buy mugging, it's a perfectly valid strategy to make money. Also the sole reason traders exist. If everyone could sell their goods safely, everyone would get a bazaar and trade from there. There'd be no need for traders guaranteeing safe mug free ways to sell money.

Also, there's a pretty big loophole in the suggestion. If I'm a buy mugger and can't mug you myself, i can just coordinate with someone else to do it. This is already done by people to mug really high stat targets. That'd make the whole point of this suggestion null.

just don't be a dumb bitch and you won't need to complain about this. either self hosp when you sell shit, or set your bazaar prices at 15% over your expected prices to offset the cost of buymugs/NS bazaar script mugs

Beyond arguing if you're for or against buy mugging here, there are some major flaws to your idea.

One being that people will simply team up for the purchase and mug, which already happens for most higher profile buy mugs. The second one being that even if the person that bought from you doesn't mug, and they don't have an accomplice mug, SOMEONE is going to mug you regardless. Stalk mugging is as common as dirt these days and is clearly outlined in the most popular mugging guides.

Point being that no matter what you do, if you don't protect yourself while selling on the item market, you're going to get mugged by someone.
