Honestly, that's kind of my thought. We used to be friends and this is somewhat out of character for him.

I did the math (I know ironic for those who know you know) and he at this moment has 137 total bounties on him
Thought I’d post here since people are confused about Artemis’ apparent sudden change - we accepted him into our faction last year and quickly regretted it.
From day 1 he was talking down to other members/leads as if they knew nothing, while spending 99% of his energy hunting in South Africa. Valid and I don’t care but not in our faction. He stunk up the chat with his misused vocabulary and so I kicked him, only to be met with similar madness as shown here. It honestly took a couple of months post his exit to bring the mood back to pre-Artemis levels. I’m not joking when I say he almost ruined the faction completely by demoralising our members.
I don’t feel comfortable discussing a stranger’s mental state (regardless of who they are) - however, Artemis has a history of this kind of behaviour and I imagine if he was once very nice to you, the niceties were the act, not the vitriol. His temper is not well controlled and he has the tendency to lash out at what he considers your weaknesses.
Wouldn’t have posted at all without the allusions to some very strange chats linked above regarding a player’s new boyfriend. Out of place on a schoolyard never mind a grown man’s mouth.

Yeah, but realistically only about 40 of those will get claimed in the next week. That's saying he doesn't catch more. With his glowing personality, he very well may.

yea was worse when I first mentioned having a BF, he basically said that he never wanted to hear anything about my BF, or hear me complain, he basically wanted me to create a false reality where I was single, and living a good life...
When he was recruited I think his profile said something like ‘I am not interested in joining your faction at this time’ which was a red flag but people sometimes let their profiles sit for a while before updating.
Likewise, if the knowledge was there at least the lectures would have some small merit. As it stood there were few pros to weigh against the cons…
NoDoze (it won’t let me quote two posts) - I’m sorry that Artemis used friendship in this way and I’m glad that you’re on the other side of it now. I’ve come across a few controlling people in my life and the playbook is well established - you did nothing wrong by wanting to be friends/trust him and it reflects solely on him that he sought to twist that basic human instinct. I hope there are others on Torn or IRL you feel you can properly trust!

shame i’m currently stacking for RW, would love to sit and claim some of those nice bounties on Artemis. seems a great way to get my final bounty hunter merit, i would get to piss off a complete clod and make some monopoly money at the same time! the torn players dream.
I'm disappointed. They used to be part of our faction family and I held them in fairly high regard. But after this fiasco I'm disinclined to give them the benefit of the doubt anymore.
