I opened my big fat mouth about my spreadsheet and some friends asked for a copy. So I cleaned it up and thought I'd just post it here for you all to share if you want.

Features

What blocks to buy first - I still feature the same stock blocks information (Stock Blocks tab) that Cola had with a couple of customizations because I'm lazy. For example, if you start buying blocks from the top, you can know your total daily passive income and the cost it takes to get that income.

"Cumu" stands for "cumulative". Let's not be childish about it.

Your current holdings and their profit / loss (Holdings tab) - all your current holdings are updated and then ordered by performance, then color coded to make your panic easier to initiate.

Do you have investments that you hold only for the stock block benefits - and don't want to see them mixed in with your current holdings that are for trading only? No problem. Go to the API tab and paste in the "transaction ID's" (Holding column from the Holdings tab) in green column. Now your Holdings tab will only show investments that you're currently trying to make money on. Your block that you're holding for passive benefits are safely hidden. Yes, I am a genius. Donations accepted.

Trade History with profit/loss (Trades tab) - in this tab, you'll have to scroll right and put an API key with FULL access to get your history. This one is separate in case some people aren't comfy with that. This tab will show you your sales with profit/loss for your last 100 sales.

If you merge or split, they will not show. Seriously, never merge if you're tracking stuff. We don't blend the bad in with the good. That's yucky. And splits aren't supported because ...well, just go program that yourself, dang it.

Mobile updates - Want to update your spreadsheet on mobile but the stupid Google Sheets app doesn't support buttons? We have a solution for that (but it takes some setup on your part).

Just use the "Mobile Update" drop-down on the Holdings tab and change it to UPDATE NOW

It will update the same as if you're on a computer.

The app supports this, but you'll have to set up a trigger which is documented below.



Basic Setup for the Spreadsheet

First, go to the Stock Blocks tab and put a Limited access API key in the API box (it is blacked-out but you can still type in it - so sneaky!)

Second, hit the [Click!] button (same as the [Update] button on the Holdings tab). Then you'll have to authorize, which is a 35-step process thanks to Google security. Do this...

That's it. The buttons on the Holdings and Stock Blocks tabs should work.



Additional Setup for Mobile Option

To make the mobile update work, do the following from your computer.
1) Extensions menu, choose Apps Script

2) Choose the Triggers menu

3) Add Trigger

4) Make the options look like this (don't be scared)

5) That's it, you're done. Now go FULL STONKS on the run.

This is great! I was already using Cola's spreadsheet and was trying to do very similar stuff but this is even more comprehensive and just objectively better! Great job!

I'm having issues with the Trades part, it's not updating :(

So it's.... awesome.

The only thing I'm thinking - is it possible to extend Trades history more than 100 last trades to more/all available?

Is it possible to view profit made per day from trade history?

It seems like something simple to add a formula or a new tab but I have concussion right now and I can't think to figure it out lol

EDIT: Figured this out now to show Day/Week/Month figures but could do with longer trade history

There was a problem
Script function callTorn could not be found

I seem to be getting this error the last 2 days.... anyone esle?
"Exception: Service invoked too many times for one day: urlfetch."

Is it showing Devidend income aswell?

Yes. Any kind of monetary or item-value income, it shows (even interest from your bank). However, things like McSmoogle (energy), it won't show.

Just a reminder - you want to but the blocks with the highest ROI first. 

 

So start buying at the top of the list and work your way down.

Had a few issues setting it up, but after going on stack overflow I managed to make it work (seems like a google sheets thing not you)

If anyone else has the issue that the buttons just say can't find callTorn, you have to right click, assign script, change it to something like pcallTorn (any edit works) and then change it back to original. Sily google sheets!

You can also get the average point value from the API, even though it's likely going to be a bit stale, since it updates once a day from the following API:

 

https://api.torn.com/torn/?selections=stats

 

points_averagecost is the entry in the API. Just a minor tweak to make it a bit more accurate.
