Hello,

I have a couple of quick questions...

What's the best temp to throw in group attacks for loot chance? Does the cost of something like a smoke grenade work out as worthwhile because of the additional loot chance over say pepper spray?

Does the blow pipe damage over turns count towards your loot chance? Should the max loot chance meta therefore be to always fire a blow pipe shot?

Anything else I might be missing?

Big thanks.

Loot is based on damaging hits. Non-damage-causing temps do not contribute.

Damage over time is not attributed to the player who did the original damage, so only the original hit counts.

They do. Best chance you have is grttibg 25 hits in an attack or attacking multiple times. There's no guarantee in getting loot its a lottery.

Thanks for your reply.

I know it's a lottery that's not a worry, I would like to make sure I'm maximising my chances however.

If temps are no good why does everyone throw one though now I am wondering? Why not just use a dbk 25 times?

Ah interesting, thank you!

So my question would be why does everyone throw temps at the start? Sounds like a grenade is the best temp one could bring?

They give the NPC debuffs that help others attack without getting hurt, so it helps the group, but you're right, they could just as easily use that turn for a damaging temp. It could be that they didn't change their loadout for the attack, or didn't plan, or just don't care to optimize, or just want to help out. I'm not sure there's another good reason for it.
