Yeah the game is cool but I saw the Bellular News video on the monetization and some Asmongold clips and hell no... I refuse to play games like this anymore.
People trolling the game havent even played it and are dumbasses. There are actual mechanics that are more wrong with the game than p2w. Its a mobile game, every mobile game is packed full of micro transactions get over yourselves. Im 60(15) trying to paragon 30. I was skeptical at first given all the negative feedback from dumbasses on youtube but i played it for myself and have been fairly impressed i started free to play and ended up getting a 3 star legendary gem from a free daily crest and i hear of people paying thousands and getting only 2 stars. Some people just dont know how to work the game or are just so inpatient they dog something without diving into it. Blows my mind, sure the p2w aspect sucks but even to be fully geared you have to play the game, you cant just pay for gear and immediately be geared out. Idiot thinking here* Anyway, game isnt trash but it isnt great dont get me wrong. But theres other shit to be complaining about if and even you ever decide to actually play the damn thing and find out first hand.

I quit shortly after a few leagues after that. After I realized the game has been bloated with moar and moar "stuff". For the sake of being moar without adding much.
Tencent takeover had to do something with that and this was a way to sell more "currency tabs". Gotta hit revenue targets and keep shareholders happy. Most say Tencent does not interfere and allows GGG freedom to develop, but c'mon bro. Money is never free.
That being said, game is still incredibly complex with awesome mechanics you won't find in other arpgs. Many viable builds that keeps you playing for a long time.
I got my level 100 hardcore character awhile ago and that was one of my bucket lists things to do before I quit the game.
One of the classics in my mind and everyone should give POE a shot for arpg lovers.
Deep down inside I wished GGG should have remained independent and didnt sellout to Tencent.
Thats bad ass, havent able to play the atlas update, been bummed about it. That damn market is addicting as hell paired with the vaults and azurath mine
