What's the point of others bidding in a forum if people can bid in chat, without revealing what their bid is?

Bids in chat discourage transparancy in an auction. How can anyone even counter-bid the final bid without knowing what it was and who it's from?

The seller have been shady since the start, he even got a friend to increase the bidding to 2,5b then when I confronted him about it he lied said he didnt know him yet he sold RW weapons for him and his friend (they have a friend in common too).

Still don't see why people should bid in chat when all the other bids had been in posts though. Posts show an official timestamp whereas chatlogs are difficult to prove to a third party, they're more visible in the forum and imo would lead to more transparancy.

Get your facts right mate, the "3" supposedly people who overbid your friend jay was never mentioned. He simply pulled that number out of a hat and expected people to take his word for it. Even after you, jay and him have been working as a team to push up the prices.
