No, it's process. There's obviously a political angle to this warrant as Garland would've signed off on it. What remains to be seen is the substance behind the requests. The judge was obviously convinced of the import of requesting a search warrant, the investigation obviously was brought to this point by tfg's long history of wreckless handling of government documents.

What you're suggesting is this is some kind of nail in the coffin for American justice which isn't at all the case.

At this point we don't know the specifics, so bit too early to suggest corrupt practices at Justice on this one.

Just a follow up, Trump has both the search warrant and search inventory of the ten boxes they took out of his place yesterday.

Ten boxes of stuff ostensibly authorized by the search warrant.

And the mofo is fundraising off being coy about what was taken.

Today he's sitting in on the NYAG investigation over his over/under asset valuation.

He could easily prove it's a bogus witch hunt where due process wasn't followed, by sharing the "phony" warrant.

He won't of course because clearly the FBI and DOJ would have done things by the book. It's very unlikely this was signed off without being 100% sure there was evidence of a crime to find. If the top brass are that dumb then the US is in even worse shape than it appears.

It's hilarious watching the self-styled party of "law & order" calling for the FBI to defunded, just because there is a chance that their king might be held accountable for his actions for once in his life.

Well, if he declassified them, then the Document system, that is very robust, would have records of him declassifying them. The president can't just tweet something as "declassified" and have it so. There is a process, even the president has to follow.

The interesting thing about our national security records division, is they track of every printed document, and whether its top secret, confidential, etc.

so, if the FBI is deciding on raiding the home of an ex-president, you can bet they can prove that at least 1 document in that house isn't supposed to be there.

This is about 5x worse than what your cult was accusing hillary of 5 years ago. Where she sat through months of investigations, and answered hundreds of questions. and was ultimately found by republicans to have not done anything warranting anything serious.

Its pretty interesting how the right are reacting to their leader doing something blatantly illegal.

Okay, let me make sure I understand this right.

Justice department is bad because it is ran by democrats and investigating Trump....but the FBI director is also bad because he is going along with the investigaion on the man who hired him. So yall want the justice department to be unbiased while wanting the FBI director to be bias...

Do I understand this correctly Republican folks?
