isn't it funny that you need a driver's license to commit crimes that involve driving, but you don't need a driver's license to become a professional racer?

Edit:
I appreciate the (relatively) long responses to the yes or no question, it was fun reading them.

General consensus: No, it is not funny, because that's how it works in real life. Even if it wasn't, it's a game. Don't expect it to make sense.

though, the "even if it wasn't" part is somewhat something I added. also, it's kinda interesting to me that the second point was brought up when it already was consistent with real life; because there aren't traffic laws you need to know when racing, and you definitely can't drive the same way as you do in a race on a normal road.

Also, saying "no" to "is it not funny" means you think it's funny :p

on a side note, thinking about it, the part with the racing could be cut out, I have to not commit one crime to be allowed to commit a different crime. Maybe you could still do it, but the success rate is reduced and reasons related to not having a driver’s license were added.

In RL people race without one, also never heard of a wheelman without a drivers license, f**ker better be a damn good driver if you're knocking off a liquor store.

No. Its a stupid mobile game, nothing make sense. You can play russian roulette from the hospital.

And you need a racing license to race.

Increasing your strength by working out increases how much damage a gun will do…. As if your biceps affect a bullet if they are large enough.

You can get shot multiple times, survive grenade blasts straight to the chest, be lit on fire, inject yourself with stimulants to greatly increase your stats, etc.

At the end of the day few things translate from games into RL.

It makes sense to most people.

I guess I have the luxury that there's a there's a local stock and sprint raceway nearby that's actually in the national circuit.

For the regular weekend races every now and then there's a couple various teenagers that participate in the 360 Sprints. Just racing families, perhaps their fathers race in the 410's and what not. Extremely fast, dangerous, and holy crap loud racing, but there's no drivers license requirement at all lol. There's nothing saying they can't if they have a car and can pay the entry fee.

Nothing makes sense in this game. Remember that the next time someone spouts bullshits like "you're not supposed to be able to play casino games while you're flying" etc. The developers of this game seems content on liberally using artistic license for some aspects of the game while deliberately keeping things "realistic" for others.

I got my drivers license last week, just like we always talked about
Cause you were so excited for me, to finally drive up to your house
But today I drove through the suburbs…cryin cause you weren’t… around

True! In fact, Max Verstappen said in an interview that he didn't take his driving license theory test till he was 17 and already an F1 driver

Even if you wanna make that argument.

Imagine for a moment you had just committed a crime, you're driving away, get pulled over for a minor traffic violation...

"Oh no license...? Sir step out of the car..."
