As to people on this posts thoughts on our turtling, I can say wholeheartedly that we’re really not bothered what you feel needs to be said. It’s our money, we spent it how we wanted to spend it. Your concern for our wallet is really strange.

Technically, you had the largest stat guy in duckroid.
The part we didn't get was your top end was significantly large as well, it was in the mid range where your stats paled in comparison to ours.
In my humble opinion, the money you paid to CR would have been better spent, hosping our top 5 stats players repeatedly so duckroid and your other top 4 could just push all the time, anytime. With Caffeinecon happening right now, e is not an issue. You could have gotten your own midrange members to hosp your small members also.
But, as you said, its your money and your right to spend it how you will. We just didn't think you got much utility out of it.
The most annoying part, is that you guys gave it up, after we land that 1k chain. I taught we going to keep the war, untill the point lead to reach, is shrink to 2k or something, and you guys beat us there, because of the turtle, you guys had the right to choise when to push.
Im the guy who said you guys turtling is legit tactics in Torn, because if you are not good in something, you still can throw shit ton of money to someone, to do the job for you. Anyway, thanks for the war, it was a good challenge, and a really good way to learn new tactics, for future wars. Good luck for next time.
Honestly that's a completely fair point. And I wish that was less a factor too. In the end I'm just an old man yelling at clouds, more upset at the system. I have no ill will towards anyone at Pagans, I really enjoyed when we were slugging it out.
hindsight, right? I think we're all still happy we tested a tactic that allowed for us to be more competitive than we otherwise might have been. If we had better IRL abilities to coordinate our timed pushes, man we might still be fighting it out. As it was, your activity is just insane (literally, we have a graph of how much time your players spend online and ya'll are so active it should terrify whoever you match next.)
When we saw that you didn't have a wall up and wouldn't have ED, we could have done the math and moved to hosp you all and focused on busting your chains, but this was what we decided to try instead. It feels less....dirty? I don't know why, but hiring hitters to go after your team versus self-hosping just felt less sportsman like. And it didn't work anyway but we really had fun trying, especially for that glorious, deluded minute we thought we had a chance...
Fair enough but I would have been happy losing this RW if you had achieved your 99.5% turtle perfection through kidnap crimes, self hosping and SEDs. That would have me on my knees, kow towing.
And yeah, that period when your chain was btw 500-1k was scary. Your guys were really good at keeping the chain alive.
