I sthis happen constantly or only sometimes? So far we can't replicate it using testing attacks.

Attack Log

The parry bonus is supposed to only occur when using the weapon with the bonus , i used a temp and still parried , is that supposed to
happen ?

Happened again, i used fists and it still parried

This has happened once or twice with me too. Honestly thought it was because I finished the last fight with a melee hit

i've rarely seen it , probs coz i dont bother watching the logs during attacks

We have made some changes per Patch list #262 : 25/10/2022

- Changed Parry & Home Run weapon bonuses to override attack setting priority if they proc while defending

I have attached an explanation here.
