The devs have been trying to find the root cause of the issue, if it was an easy fix it would not have taken two years for the issue to be resolved. This may come as a surprise to you, but devs don't use Torn forums to discuss about issues and updates. There hasn't been any update provided because it is still a work in progress.
I am working with devs to get this resolved as soon as possible. The latest update was that there were couple of potential solutions that I tried out yesterday afternoon that did not work. There's your update.
I don’t know if the devs are already aware, but the issue is so sporadic. Like it can happen on every single thread I visit then a few hours later it won’t happen for the next 20 I visit.
lmfao I found a workaround - using the old torn iOS app (the one that got pulled from the app store).
Whilst it still has issues (a lot less frequently), these issues will just cause an instant refresh rather than crashing the whole page like it does in safari/pda. Been scrolling the forums with minimal issues.

Not able to read through any replies as my browser also continually crashes before anything loads. If there is a fix or an update on this please can someone PM me.
I have now had this problem for around 5 months. I only play on iPhone (X), PC is not an option. It’s become so frustrating to the point I’ve not been able to use forums for the entire duration, there is not a single post that doesn’t crash unless it has less than 2 comments. This is not sporadic in any sense.
Not as user friendly, but rotate your iPhone to landscape when in the forum seems to be another workaround. It hasn’t crashed a single time, while it does constantly otherwise.

iPhone 12 PRO iOS 16.0 using the discontinued official torn app, discords browser and safari makes no difference.
I can confidently say I am experiencing this issue on 95% of threads I visit now. Luckily majority of my play time is from desktop because It's pretty unbearable to be unable to read vast majority of threads from mobile.
Not directly, no but if you want to read threads that crash all the time either logging out or using a different browser where i am not logged in is all that works.
Sadly rotating the device also was just a temp thing. Had multiple threads crashing.
They did try some stuff, but then ended up blowing it off as an iOS issue, with kapnobatai saying he didn't know what to do about it on page 3.
On October 23, CJ announced that they are prioritzing it, copy&pasting that announcement in several other bug reports about this issue before closing them, though he doesn't seem to have announced the prioritization in this thread. I do think that since they recently started speculating that it has to do with the chats etc, they're actively working on it.
TLDR: I agree that it doesn't seem to have been prioritized for most of the 2 years, I do think it probably is currently prioritized.
