I've tried several times to pay for the subscriber donor membership through both paypay and amazon. Every time it rejects my payment attempt and tells me to try again later. As a new player, this is kind of putting me off to this game..

We have had some issues with PayPal subs for the past couple of months. Unfortunately the issues were from the PayPal side and there was nothing that we could do about it. PayPal has resolved the issues two days ago, however if you are still facing issues, please write an email to us at payments@torn.com and we will get back to you within one business day.

Thanks..!!

This'll be a problem on your end I'm afraid, your payment method is being declined. There's not really anything we can do on our end to assist you with that.

My card works everywhere else so I very seriously doubt that, there is something this company could do though. That would be to stop going through 3rd parties and accept payments directly like you know, every other company on this planet that runs itself effectively/efficiently.

This is the message I received when I had an Amazon payment issue in the past and it was completely on me. I have a habit of keeping an expired card as my default payment method in Amazon so I know there's no accidental buys from my son. Double check your payment settings with Amazon. If maybe you've gotten a new card it's possible Amazon still has the old expiration date or CCV on file. It could be several different little things and it's worth double checking. If nothing else, contact Amazon and ask them exactly WHY they're declining the payment.

I added a card specifically for this purchase and have used it elsewhere so that's not the issue, the email I received from Amazon states that the merchant did not receive my order. It's not my card, it's not my bank, and it's not amazon. Honestly at this point it's just not worth it to me and the "customer service" I've received reflects horribly on Torn. I'll just keep my money. Thanks for the advice anyways Charra.

It's cute that someone would downvote a legitimate idea to avoid these issues in the future, and then upvote the admins response that solved absolutely nothing.
Most real companies if not all of them, will accept direct payments and not blame problems with their products on their consumers. Wow!

There's a ton of people that subscribed / renewed their sub, so this looks like there's something on your end going wrong.

Amazon and the fact that I just used my card to order a tapestry 5 minutes ago would beg to differ. Wow, it's like everyone thinks that I'm just too dumb to use a credit card..
I'm done, f**k this game, and f**k this company.

Welcome to Torn,

The community here is very toxic and enjoy making someone's else's life miserable. So don't you worry about them and talk to staff directly and by doing this you will avoid the toxic crowd. Bogie and cloudjumper are the best here to assist you directly and I'd suggest you directly chat with them. Remember tho they are also Tornians and not really employees so as for bogie his answers might be very direct and taken in a bad manner if read incorrectly. Cloudjumper did suggest mailing them at payments@torn.com for their corporate side of the game.

Actually Bogie does happen to be a employee of Torn, Aswell as Cloudjumper. In my personal experience, they have both been indefinitely helpful in the three times I have had to contact them.

Also, to the OP, What country do you live in? The torn sub may be banned in certain areas(Australia) for "Drug use" and other such fictional representations of criminal actions. Therefore, Amazon, Google play, paypal will not let you buy, even if your payment method works perfectly fine.

What i meant to say they are the type who can tell you to f**k off without consequences. Try that with a real job you will probably get fired hence whty i said that. They both work Full time and make a salary yes i know that i talk to them. But they reserve the rights to say screw you too :P

Or as bogie trolled me when i said the servers were shit to tell my mom to not login today cause the servers are overloaded. Loved that comeback by the way.

Locking this. I haven't even had a chance to respond to your email to actually troubleshoot the problem... But I'll reply there nonetheless.

We always aim to reply to that within 1 working day which is more than can be said for many other companies, 8pm on a Sunday night isn't when I check my emails though.

As an FYI, Amazon support for payments are absolutely useless, they could say anything and I absolutely wouldn't trust it personally. In my last conversation with Amazon merchant support the guy I was speaking to didn't even know Amazon had an API (which we use) for handling payments.

The issue certainly would be something on your end, OP, but that's not a problem and one we can likely resolve.

Commonly it might be an invalid card for this particular service, or your bank blocking it on fraud concerns (since we're UK based a lot of US based banks block us as a result, but easy to lift).

Other times it might be as simple as you not having 2FA on the Amazon account, since we're still bound by rules in the EEA (European economic area) it's also a requirement per Strong Customer Authentication legislation that customers have this for this service.
