Hello,
How does one get a better efficiency in any company you work at? Right now I have around 64% efficiency, and I am trying to get that higher to get better working stats. Any help?

Work stats are gonna be your best bet. Getting Settled and avoiding addiction as well. If you do really want to boost em that extra little bit, using merits can help, but you generally shouldn't need to

it depends upon the role you have. each role has stat requirements and if you match them you get 100, less or more depending you know.

merits can add more, drugs and inactivity can reduce them.

Basically don't worry about it.
Your director accepted you and chose to put you in that position where your working stats don't meet the requirements for 100%.
You will get 10% as a "settled in bonus" (1% per day until you have been there 10 days)
If you hover your mouse over your effectiveness it will say what (if anything) was reducing it, such as addiction and so on.
