Undo the Title Change

Previously, I made a thread for alternative titles regarding "Hired Gun". I've changed my mind on this and realized that there was absolutely nothing wrong with The original titles to begin with.

Why fix what isn't broken?

The original titles, (Hitman, Bondsman, Marksman) were brilliant left alone. Instead of struggling to brainstorm new titles, WHY NOT JUST BRING THE ORIGINAL TITLES BACK!?

We all know this is just a text-based game; however, people give hard-earned money to keep the servers floating and staff members money in their pocket. Where is our decision in the matter?

There will be a poll with three simple choices for the people of Torn to decide for themselves what should be done.

Bring the original titles back?
or
Keep the new titles?
or
Just change "Hired Gun"?

People pay for all kinds of things and get no say in company decisions (see Battle Passes in Fortnite, CoD, Apex, etc)

At least we can suggest things. I've seen this point brought up a lot in the past couple of days, but giving money to a company gives you ABSOLUTELY no say in how the company runs itself

You're right about that. People generally don't have a voice in huge games like that. Also, there are about 2 million players online at any given time with these games. There are roughly 40k players online a day total on Torn. Gigantic difference in my opinion.

You can't compare a text-based game to a game such as fortnite or apex. The difference between the play-styles are immeasurable.

Torn is something you grow with and build for long-term success. Titles and achievements mean something here (especially when you grind for weeks/months/years). All I'm trying to relay is that we should be a voice of influence in this change.

Reading between the lines of what you're saying; it would be more fair to let everyone vote for which they prefer to keep (the original or the new ones).

I personally prefer the original ones. Partly because of their history & partly because you can't spell woman without 'man', so it can easily apply to both (and literally does in the real world of today). ;-p

The change should have never happened in the first place. They could've atleast held a small vote thread to see what people think.

I only dislike hired gun, it makes you sound like a lacky, hitman was much better

You want a title to change? JOBSWORTH! It's horrible!
