"Hellhole" - Rating: D-
SPOILER ALERT
= Extremely cliched... nothing original in this movie and simply takes elements from The Omen.
Ok, the biggest disappointment and amateur sequence is at the beginning. This priest supposedly knows the horrific consequences of letting the child live but still freezes at the moment to drive the knife in... and sure enough the police bust in right before he proceeds with the deed and instead of killing the "demon-child" he just gets shot and the child lives.... yeah, absolutely nothing original there. Todays audiences have seen this too many times.
And the dark overcast lighting tone of the movie is just simply too much... where do they live that it is always dusk? and the biggest disappointment of all: The actual demon! it just felt like they ran out of budget by the time they got to his costume.
Mildly captivating story but the lack of originality was a bit too much to ignore.
