My net worth is 6x higher than my faction mate. He has a lower item find %. He has achieved a 32% higher gain than me during CT. It seems like a rubbish claim to me to blame crap drops on NW. It's RNGesus all the way.

Once you've done CT a few times, and the fun fades, as it does, the activity becomes a "money per time and effort" decision.
Many of the people I know have given up on the maps and now just play Pot.
Even at 1 win per 40 games, the economics make more sense.
A cheap-ass Santa may still satisfy the noobs, but the rest of us are bored and don't see enough return for our efforts this year.

Just playing devils advocate here (I wasn't gonna post anything but, then I read this & felt I probably should :-D ). Last year my networth was, as you say, "trash", especially compared to this year but, last year I was finding things worth millions, including a 6 pack of energy drinks worth a large chunk of my networth at that time. The most valuable thing I've found this year (so far at least, I'll concede that it's still fairly early, something everyone should keep in mind right now ;-) ) is a Book of Carols, with most other items being sweets or the lowest value cans (only the occasional X-MASS or Santa Shooter).
On the other hand, because I have all of last year's globes this time, I'm finding more items overall, so, maybe it's an overall thing rather than a value of specific items thing. I dunno, I don't really care tbh, I just felt this might be somewhat relevant. *shrugs*
Also, this thread started off about the fat red dude & we've basically gone off on a wider tangent, so apologies for my part of the topic hijacking.
