Forgiven Merit

I've been noting each day praying to make sure I don't miss one and I'm currently 16 days in, I thought it took two weeks to get the merit but is that time variable?

Just trying to work out whether this is a bug or I'm just unlucky and its taking a while. Thanks guys.

there isn't proof to say that you must pray twice a day.
people suggest that because it's safer, if we assume it's needed at least once every 24h to trigger the merit.
this is not entirely correct though, as you can see here.

for the time needed there isn't much we know for sure either, so there is no bug here.
if you have the Rosary Beads it could take less, but I have nothing to prove this anyway.

I prayed twice a day and it took me 11 days. I think Anarchia is likely correct though, that praying the second time daily is more a safety measure so you don't miss a day.

With a total of 15 prays with 2 of them being the same day

theres different ideas of what works. 1ce a day, 2ce a day? Personally I set a timer for 23 hours and 50 mins and did 1ce a day so it was always before 24 hours. Had rosary beads EQUIPED too. Took 3 weeks

Do what you like, then. But I do have the merit.

FWIW, 5 days ago I got the Forgiven merit after praying once per Torn day for 8 consecutive days. As you can see from the log, I tried to remember to visit at least daily in the immediately preceding month, but I missed here and there.


EDIT: After reading Anarchia‘s post, I wanted to note that I was wearing Rosary Beads for the duration.

if it doesn't bother you, could you put another screen of the log after changing the view mode from the upper right icons? that will show exact time and date for each entry.

this disproves the other theory of being needed once every day (from 00:00 to 24:00) regardless of the actual hours in between. at least when using rosary beads.

I heard it takes like a month or so…

After praying each day from the 19th of December, I finally got the merit today, thank you for all the advice guys! I didnt end up praying multiple times a day, but I did equip rosary beads and got it 2 days later so I dont know if that had an impact
