Hi everyone! It's Sansa here. I am opening up a GOT RP. OCs are accepted. Only one of each character.
Backstory: We are starting fairly at the beginning of the story, in the sense that everyone is still alive so you can be whomever you want. Winter is sweeping westeros and everyone is settling in to bare the storms. I forgot to mention that everyone is also at war. All of the different parts of Westeros are fighting for one to take over the seven kingdoms.
Where do you fall in all of this? Who do you aline with? Who should hold true power? Let me know in the comments if you'd like to join.
Taken:
Sansa Stark

Sansa sat by her window in Winterfell. Snow was falling gently onto the ground and she could see the soldiers in training. She felt a bit useless, she was after all just sitting there while her people were training to into battle. Dread washed over and hit her in that moment. Losing was a real thing to consider. Ned Stark was once friends with the King but that ended thanks to Cersei herself.
She wondered how things got to this point. She was not involved with those conversations but she was good at eavesdropping. She stood up from the small stool by her window and she got ready alone. She wore a pale soft pink dress. It had long sleeves with stitched flowers around the sleeves. It kept her warm but it also made her feel proper.
As she was finishing getting ready she heard a knock on her door. The noise startled her a bit. "Hello?" She asked softly.
Lawren Tarre opened the door to Lady Stark's room. He was the lieutenant for her personal guard. Many of the soldiers were rotated through all the duties the castle needed: guarding various posts, sending riders out to scout Winterfell and the surrounding villages. However, many had been sent as riders out to the villages. Some were calling up more men-at-arms to fill out the ranks. Others went to collect taxes of grain and gold from Lords who had been in arrears until that point.
"Good morning my lady. Pardon the interruption. I've been sent to find you. There are going to be some envoys this week and we need your assistance to plan a welcoming meal for them." Lawren said

Sansa sighed a breath of relief when she realized it was Lawren. Her relief then turned to dread when he told her what she had to do. "Plan a welcoming meal? We are at war Lawren." She stated with a soft sigh. She knew that as a Lady, her role was this kind of stuff. "What about Aryna or Mother? Are they also going to be planning this or is it just me?" She wanted to do more than just plan welcome meals and walk around in pretty dresses. "I wish i could do more," she sighed as she looked at Lawren. "I know that is unrealistic but, I am afraid we are going to lose this thing."

"Have no fear my lady. Your brother may be young but he has the full support of the North. Your mother brings us the support of the Riverlands as well, or at least she should. She is being escorted down there currently by a detachment of soldiers to formalize the alliance. Envoys from the houses of Dustin and Flint are coming today to formally pledge their support of your brother. I am sure Lady Arya may be able to help, thought I admit you might have better luck finding her than I would." Lawren replied with a bit of a smile.
"Don't take things too hard Lady Sansa. If I may say so, my mother always said it was the way of things. Men fight their wars on the battlefield while women seem to fight their wars in dining rooms and... well, never mind. Perhaps you'll feel a little more encouraged after a bit of breakfast?" Lawren inquired.

Sansa would sense that he was trying to make her feel better but It wasn't quite working. "Perhaps," she said as she began to walk towards the door. "I am particularly famished this morning. All this fighting is making me sick." She said with a sigh. She knew her brother Rob was good for the throne and he was a smart man. He was also cocky and tended to always believe he was right. " Did you eat yet? Would you like to accompany me?" Sansa asked as she gave Lawren a friendly smile. She messed with the ring on her finger as she awaited his response. She was always nervous when her mother traveled. No one knew if those who went would ever come back.
The long black ship moved slowly through the waters of the Bite, the sea around her a mass of fire and smoke, her twinned sets of port and starboard oars moving up and down, like a bird's wings- and it was here she got her name, for she was the Raven, warship of the dreaded Tallion Darkhall- once an Iron Islander of little fortune and ill repute, now a feared pirate, scourge of merchant vessels from the Sunset Sea to the Sea of Dorne, name reviled in the halls of the Iron Bank and King's Landing alike. A cosmopolitan crew of both sexes and every race imaginable hauled near corpses from the sea, kicking them back to consciousness unceremoniously. The quartermaster, a swarthy man from Dorne who called himself Dralis approached the captain on the stern quarterdeck.
"17 sailors still alive, Cap'n Darkhall. The rest have moved on."
Darkhall nodded, the deck silent, expectant, making the sound of his boots on the stairs sound like thunder. He cleared his throat, uttering a phrase the survivors had been waiting for, and one by one, they nodded, being escorted below so the ship's captive maester could treat their wounds.
"I give ye sorry lot a choice. Join me, serve loyally before the mast, or go back into the water and await the sharks."

Sansa had only heard the horrors of the Raven. Her experience with pirates was pretty limited- but based on the stories her father would tell her late on sleepless nights, she only feared them.
She of course found herself on the ship, captured after her own ship wrecked. Without any time to see if her Father was okay she was thrown on the Raven. Her red hair was dripping all over the deck and her face was red, her breathing labored. Her eyes scanned the room-- fully taking in her surroundings. When she saw Darkhall, her eyes stared directly into his, trying to match his level of intense.
"Do you even know who I am?" She spoke, unafraid- or at least trying not to be afraid. She wasn't very good at that but she figured she could at least try.
"The only one I serve is Rob Stark, the King, My brother." Sansa was still young and unexperienced. She wasn't good in situations like this, well- she had never been in a situation like this alone.
They say the eyes are windows to the soul, and Darkhall's were no exception- dark pits of calculating evil, his smile a thin approximation produced by a man incapable of true joy. He was a grim, angular figure, wearing a strange three cornered black hat and a black greatcoat, a crossbow on his back and a curved, heavy blade on his waist.
"Aww, poor Sansa Stark, all alone, no Daddy to save her." The pirate captain mocked, his laugh a dark thing, like liquid malice. "You serve the Young Wolf, do you? Tell me, Lady Stark, how many ships does your dear old brother have? Do you honestly think he will sacrifice what little naval power he has to save you, when he marches on King's Landing? Any fool would tell you that engaging any sellsword fleet against the Raven would be a poor investment indeed- so will you serve, Lady Stark? Or d'you fancy a swim?"

Her eyes tried to match his energy but she couldn't look at this man for longer than a few moments. She inhaled softly and she began to way her options. Acting brave is what she saw her family do, that is what she figured might help.
" Are you really going to let me drown?" She looked at him. " I am of no use to your ship. I belong in Winterfell, and I know my family would pay you greatly for my safe return. I will not serve you, Mr...?" Throughout all the chaos, she did not catch his name. "Do you really want to be known as the man who killed the Kings sister? I don't think so." a brief pause, "You are indeed right about my brother, he doesn't have many ships, but he has a vengeance like you have never seen before."
"Don't say I didn't warn you." she finished looking directly into his dark eyes. She could feel the evil he held. She only hoped maybe he would want the money over her life.
"The Starks would pay prettily enough, you are right in that, but who would pay more? I imagine the Lannisters would send a fortune to have you as a bargaining chip, dear lady. Perhaps a wager? You send a raven to your brother, under the supervision of my quartermaster, and ask him how much he'd pay, and I'll write to the Lannisters, and the highest bidder wins the princess of the North, yes? Sounds like wonderful fun to me."

The mention of the Lannisters made her flinch. Joffrey was wanting her head on a spike and he would pay anything. She tried not to let her fear show but it was all over her face. She would rather drown than go into the hands of that monster. Which was the plan if Joffrey offered more, she would simply throw herself off the ship and swim until she couldn't. Death was not as worse as being under Joffreys control.
"Give me something to write on." She demanded. Someone on the ship handed her the supplies and she put the paper on the edge of the boat leaning deck-- where there was some flatness.
" Dearest Brother,
I hope this raven gets to you-- its urgent. I have been taken on the Raven. Yes, the one from Father's nightmares. I hope he made it to swore. Our boat was attacked. This man, is pure evil. He wants money- lots of it. He is offering me up to the Lannisters, to see who pays more---
A wolf would rather drown than be set on fire..... I love you.
Sansa
She added that last part in as a "If they win" She knew Rob would know what that meant. Everyone had heard by now what Joffrey had done to her. She rolled up the scroll of paper and handed it to the captain.
The captain's cruel smile only deepened as his veiled threat cut to her soul, taking the scroll from her.
"Dralis, lock the dear lady in the brig, and send a raven to King's Landing at once- inform King Joffrey that I have Lady Stark captive, and would be more than willing to sell her to him." he said, his voice full of gloating, drunk on pride and her fear.
"Aye, Captain. I'll send our fastest bird. With any luck, we'll be rich as lords in a few weeks time."

Sansa's eyes widened as one of the ship hands grabbed her arm. "You will regret this." She said as she glared at him.
"Do you ever get tired? hiding behind your own righteousness? Being utterly alone in the world besides your crew who by the looks of it, are only here by force?"
Before she could say another word she was taken to the brig. She could hear the wails of other captive on his boat. She was basically thrown into one of the cells by the ship hands. She glanced around but there was no window, no nothing. It was dark and muggy. She feared she maybe should've jumped when she had the chance.
Lawren spewed out seawater as he gasped clean, fresh air. He had been aboard a small ship with Lady Stark when they were ambushed by pirates. Lady Stark could expect a ransom, but the rest of them had to fend as best they could. Lawren was surprised that the captain had offered for them to join him. He'd imagined that they'd simply be stripped of valuables, slit ear to ear, and then thrown into the sea. A look passed down the row of those who had been washed up. Lawren was about to answer when Lady Stark spoke up and had a confrontation with the captain. Lawren felt it was foolish, but he couldn't do much to stop her. Now, he simply waited to see if the captain's offer still extended to them.

As Sansa sat in the cell she thought she saw Lawren from the corner of her eye. She couldn't tell if it was truly him because she was too panicked to even react. She was struggling to come to terms with her current predicament. She could hear the other prisoners murmuring on as they wondered about their fates. The cell was very dark and she couldn't really see. She did however notice the lock on the door. It was old, rustic, probably easy to break with enough effort....
The lock may have been old, but in the shadows beyond the door, she saw the large form of a beastly looking sailor, powerful and lumbering, sitting in a chair. The keys hung from his belt. Meanwhile, above deck, the gloating captain chuckled as he strode down the line of survivors.
"Any other high profile folk aboard? Or shall we return to my rather merciful offer? Any takers?"

Sansa barely reached them but she grabbed the keys without the sailor noticing. She had to stay absolutely still although she made it work. She fumbled a bit with the keys in her hands. There were a few so she would have to try them all. She kept an eye on the sailor but he seemed to be too busy dozing off.
Things had become hectic in Kings Landing since the fighting started. It was good business for a blacksmith, but due to King Joffrey's tyrannical rule, Gendry had decided it would've been a lot wiser to leave than to stay. Especially after finally learning his family secret from the Red Witch. If he had known he was the bastard son of King Robert Beratheon, he would have made his way towards the North a long time ago in order to evade the gaze of Cersei Lannister . It had been rumored that she was the cause of his father's death, and with her son now serving as High King, there's no telling what they would do to him if he were found out. When he tried to find a way to depart from Kings Landing, he found a ship in need of a blacksmith that was sailing North. Since The ancestral home of the Stark family had been his father's final resting place, he decided to board. His plan was to get off as close to Winterfell as possible, and make peace with his father's death before deciding what to do next. During his time in Winterfell, he managed to obtain a position as a blacksmith on board one of the Stark's vessels. He had been captured along with the others, and leaned against one of the walls to a cell as he watched the pirates bring in Sansa herself.
After a while the young man could hear a slight dingle of keys and clicking followed by the sound. The sailor standing guard didn't seem to have been paying attention to the noise, and while he wasn't watching, Gendry slightly pokes his head through the bars to get a better look. He sees Sansa fiddling with lock and key. Surprised, he turns his attention to the sailor. He knew that if the man noticed, then it may be all over for all of them. Since the Starks and Beratheons had been allies, he decided to aide Sansa. Quickly he tries to come up with a way to distract the sailor from the sound, "Excuse me ma' lord. Would you mind taking' me out for a squat? I'd sooner mess my pants if I have to stay here any longer."
