You can turn it off, but given the recent mass breaches in accounts, you're doing it at your own discretion and admins won't recover anything lost.

it takes a few extra seconds to do 2FA and provides extra protection for your account. you're free to turn it off (the option is the settings) but just know that the admins have already said they probably won't help you get back anything lost if you turn 2FA off and your account becomes compromised. your chances to take.

Getting 2Fa checked in the middle of a RW is annoying as shit. Worse than the Captcha. Did it three times in a 5 minute span, hopefully no more.

Tell you what. Go to your nearest town center, coffee shop, or other public place. Put $100 (or equivalent) in your wallet. Then place your wallet out on a table, bench, or sidewalk and walk away. Tell me how likely it is that your wallet with money in it will still be there six hours later.
Yes, you have an ordinary password. And the thousands of hacked accounts last month show how secure a single password really is.
Technically speaking, you are not required to use 2FA (and note this is "2FA Lite", the real process would require an authentication phone app like OneAuth, Authenticator, PingID, Duo Mobile, or Trust). However, if you do NOT use 2FA and your account is hacked, there is no guarantee you will get the account back. If you are ok with losing your Torn account and everything in it forever, then turn off 2FA.
For those people saying they had to do 2FA multiple times, you should only get it when you log in and then only when you IP address changes. If you're using VPN with a non-persistent IP address, then you'd get it on every logon (because your IP address is changing). But why log off / log on in the middle of heavy activity? Just stay logged on.
I've been logging on daily since the change went in, and I have not yet been challenged. Then again, my IP address hasn't changed.

I got 2FA checked lastnight from my PC I've been using for over 3 years and my mobile the same. 3 Times, back-to-back. Had to get new codes for my PC twice and my mobile once via email before I could continue. I did not log out and was middle of chaining.
Sometimes I mobile network might change but I never click the log out function, my IP hasnt changed. I do hope it doesn't happen again anytime soon. I typically switch between Mobile and PC when warring and it came as the worst time possible.

ok, if you're switching devices that will do it. So plan ahead. Assume that any device switch is going to challenge you, and only switch devices when you're sitting in hosp. In the middle of a push is a bad time.
Every device on a network has to have a different IP address. So unless Torn takes an extra step of allowing two different IP addresses to be recognized as frequently used (i.e. pc and phone) you're going to get challenged every time you switch.
If you just log off your pc and log back on again (without connecting via your phone), you won't get challenged (assuming you don't change your IP address).
