have you seen the things europe still use? its all from ww2, europes weapons and arms stock is still full of ww2 relics... if we went to war wed have been using that shit but ofcourse now giving it to ukraine allows us to update and replenish with new stock.

tbh governments always seem to neglect things like this... european nations all likely have their own satelites but all are neglected.... private company satelites likely far better and the crutch of society. any government ran things always get left to ruin.... this is a lesson on how government can run things and you shouldnt allow public ownership/nationalisation of things you actually want maintained and working lol
What you think is probably the case is a lesson on something? It's a lesson on how much you love to speculate about things you don't actually understand, maybe.
Well that just isn't true. By having something nationalized you inherently make it maintained. You flip a switch, the power comes on. Turn a faucet, water comes out. There are failures in this system, but far far far more, and more risk, when you have a profit driven system, that can simply nor maintain or respond to things because it's unprofitable for them.
Well, that just isn't true either. For one, it's not that hard to point at third world countries where the government regularly fails to pay their employees for months on end, and thereby any nationalized things often don't work or at least aren't maintained.
Regardless of whether it's private or public, there need to be the funds and the incentives/will to get something done/maintained. Those can exist or lack in either situation.
thing with power, gas, water and so on is that theres private companies attached to those.
your power electric and gas you get from private companies... and if you get cut off they lose money so they really desperately want to keep you connected.
not sure about the water companies... the water companies dont seem to care as much and will refuse to do anything lol so they maybe nationalised.
Circular reasoning again. You've already decided the private sector is better, so anything that doesn't work right must be public, which is your evidence that the private sector is better.
That's not true at all. They are"public utility" companies attached to them, and they have strict laws in how they give access to people. Much more restrictions than private, and heavier fines and such when something goes wrong.
We in the states can go to any water system connected to a local government and get safe drinking water. Do we have failures, sure. But there are special laws here that are for public service companies like that, and they're strict. Yet we still had flint and others to show as failures. There would be tons more if a private company got involved, as their incentives are different and based on shareholder boards.
