Avoid global and avoid getting into arguments with randoms whether it’s through DMs or forums, there’s a lot of bullies with inferiority complex that feel the need to take out their real life problems on new torn players. More often than not though, majority of the people here are super nice as long as one isn’t being obnoxious.
Try to join a faction with experienced players that can guide you, help you and protect you during your early days, just make sure you pick the right one as there seems to be some that take advantage of new players one way or another.

The-Truth? A piggy bank is a non-tradable item that you can only purchase (with mission credits) on your first few days in Torn.. once you smash it, you can never unsmash it.. and there's no getting another one..

Take a little time to read the guides. Don't just drift along for half a dozen years without really knowing what you're doing - It's a nightmare trying to catch up .
only buy stocks in benefit blocks... the ups and downs suck when you don't have much money. enjoy the game and try not to make enemies right off the bat... and never scam. and read the tutorials they will be your best friend. PS: don't gamble the house will eventually win and take it all lol
