If you’re Black and you’ve shared such images online, you get a pass. But if you’re White, you may have inadvertently perpetuated one of the most insidious forms of contemporary racism.

Must be a real slow news week if CNN is trying to stir the pot by acting like Buzzfeed. Given how badly ratioed this guy is getting on Twitter, I don't many share this viewpoint.

Edit: I take everything I said back. This article has over 9.5 million views on Twitter. Compare this with everything else they've posted on Twitter today which is ~100k to 200k views. What a great way to drive traffic to your website on a Sunday as well as drive up engagement for everything else on Twitter.

People constantly point to drag to support transgenderism.

Why doesn't anyone do the same for blackface and transracialism?

Is there really any difference between the two?

Are there any biological things that might cause people to experience their race as differently from what their skin color indicates? Like, with gender, things like hormones (prenatally and postnatally) have an impact on brain development, etc, for example. My wife needed to get lab work done in order to get HRT, and her testosterone level came back as 1/3 the normal amount, and the doctor said that if she weren't wanting to transition, he'd prescribe her T to get her levels into a more normal range (other people might have been exposed to abnormally high or low levels of hormones in utero, etc - not saying they need to have abnormally high/low amounts as adults). So, is there something like that for race?

Not that I care whether people what race people want to identify as, fwiw. But if you're going to claim they're equivalent, then give a biological explanation for why someone might feel like they're born in the wrong color body.

an obvious answer to your questions is that there is no support for it for some reason. is it ignorance? could be. is it because there is nothing as race dysphoria? could be as well.

I would seriously doubt it. The only difference between race is the complexion of our exterior. All interior organs and blood types are still compatible, depending upon blood type.

Racial dysphoria and gender dysphoria deserve the same amount of attention. Which is to say they deserve no attention at all. But a lot of the people who insist that people can change genders or celebrate drag as some wonderful thing are the same that claim blackface is racist and that people can't change their race, even though both are essentially the same thing.
