White Easter egg - halve addiction

I'm at rehab cap but keep my drug addiction very low to avoid rehabbing (I.e. 1 xanax a day and allow natural decay to remove addiction rather than rehab).

Is there any point in using the white Easter egg? Will it reduce my long-term addiction by half such that I won't be at the rehab cap anymore?

no, in your current situation it's completely useless.

No, you are at the cap because of your total number of rehabs. That does not change if you take the egg.
The white egg is:

Build up all your addiction points and don't rehab. Get a load. Then take the white egg and it is like you just rehabbed half of your AP away for free. If you had 500M worth of rehab, the egg saved 250m and removed half.

Wouldn't call it useless, but it's just gonna save you some money is all.

It is when you've done so many rehabs (something like 18,000 or so) that every 250k rehab removes just 1 addiction point.
(A which point a single xanax costs 8.7 mill to rehab)

The best method is this:

Director, or City job - 3 xan daily (or close to) - no education left

You can stack 100m+ in addiction (especially if you don’t care about stats) and it’ll make the cost 50m (approx, it’s per the addiction ‘points’ and not the ‘cost’ but it’s pretty close regardless)

If you do math on 35x 3 minus 20 daily mitigation, you’ll see how much days / xan you need before you end up getting 100m (or your goal)

Otherwise tbh white egg is useless because rehab isn’t that expensive + youll only have like 100 points total before rehab (which saves like 500k) and gives you 6h of booster cooldown (more alcohol, cans etc.)

Hopefully that makes sense - you’ll need to stack forever to make it worthwhile

The more rehabs you have done, the less addiction is removed for the same price - at the moment rehab is very cheap for you because your total rehabs is still low. Eventually every single Xanax will require up to 8.7m worth of rehabilitation to remove.
(With faction perks it is cheaper - the rehab reduction taking it from 250k to 200k per point, and addiction reduction taking it from 35 to 18 points, this drops to 3.6m per Xanax)

Once you are at that rehab cap, it is very easy for rehab to become VERY expensive... It just takes quite a while to get to the cap :)

You have addiction before the brain shows up, yes. The brain only shows up once the addiction is high enough to lower your battle stats and to warn you that you are close to being kicked out of education courses.

If you hover over your employee effectiveness in your company, you will see a penalty (which is only updated once a day, just after 18:00 TCT) that is based on your current addiction points.As soon as you take any drug you get some addiction points, and every night 20 addiction points are removed (this is the "natural decay" they talk of)

Each drug gives a different amount of addiction points.

Forgot to say, even at rehab cap, Xanax is still the cheapest form of energy other than the daily refill. Even with no faction perks to reduce addiction gain or lower rehab costs...

It's not a case of affordability, but making best use of my capital.

I calculated it a while back, it seemed better to save on rehab costs by taking just 1 xan a day and put that cash towards SEs instead.

I haven't yet seen any numbers that prove otherwise...

Removing drug addiction used to have only few options,

rehab (slowly gets costlier till the cap, so always never fully rehab)
job specials which reduce addiction one per one jp (it doesn’t change to use them at any time. Bcz you reduce one addiction point per jp. If you are at rehab cap it saves 250k per jp or it will delay the time for you to reach the rehab cap. So can be used at anytime)
Books (one book reduces >95% addiction reduction after 31days. Another book doesn’t let you get addiction. Usable once at life)
faction special (halves the addiction per drug at max level)

now the egg came with 50% addiction reduction. As this is percentage based, you need to gain as much addiction as possible to get better use of it. Personally at any point of time reducing addiction is great thing to have.


If you are not taking 3 xan a day, then you would need so many days to accumulate large potion of addiction. The more AP you have the more useful it will be.

my suggestion would be
be in training break (because you may become too crippled by addiction side effects to fight at optimal levels)
get finished with edu or at least all the important ones should be finished (you will thrown out at roughly 5-7% brain icon). You can also direct a night club, it has a special which doesn’t kick you out bcz of addiction)
be a director or in a city job (where your addiction wouldn’t cost your job)

then continue taking 3 xan a day till where you need to start attacking people..(missions will definitely be effected after a month. May become too hard to finish on your own)

then use an egg or two max and fly for rehab.

I am aware of gym cap lifted.

I use natural E for training, one xan a day for training and usually don't refill or refill to claim bounties...

Are you saying its now worth it for people at rehab cap to use 3 xanax a day, costing about 13.3m in total for the xanax and rehabs?
