Had someone suggest starting a quality of life thread so let's have it: tips and tricks that you learned, maybe later than you'd like, that make torn all the easier!
Some of these tips will be aimed at newer players, some for those who have been around for a while! if you had a "DUH" moment in torn where you found a feature, lets hear it!
  • Long pressing links to other players brings up a quick view of their profile
  • Tutorials and guides hold a wealth of information for new and old players alike!
  • You can re-arrange your task bar in the settings menu!
  • You can trade while in hospital
  • You can fill bloodbags while in hospital
  • In $ boxes, you can click the $ icon next to the box for all, and to see a blurb about how fractions, and abbreviations work
  • 1 Rehab returns happy to 100% - submitted by BrandyDW [2899416]
  • If buying from bazaar, adding an "m" to the 1 acts as a buy all (assuming they don't have 1m+ stock -- b also works)
  • Seasonal newsletter has a link for 250 e at the bottom. Can have it resent from settings.
  • Faction perks can do too many benefits to list individually
  • Gat and Securop offer overdose insurance
  • You can change defense settings, along with re-equip temp weapons in settings
  • Baldr has too many guides to list one by one, but any player will tell you "Baldr's Basic Advice" is the way to start your torn career!
  • Fun and Games and Donator forum have giveaway threads. some aimed at helping new players get starter gear! - sub. by Securop [2247082]

from what a faction member said when you od and lose all your energy and happy etc, going to Switzerland to rehab even once restores your happiness to 100%


So you could spend 75k getting 100% happy at rehab after an od, wait like a week or whatever for it to naturally come back, or do 2 edvds like I did when I od’d my 2nd week and wasted quite a bit of money. The 75k is the clear choice, need others to know about it…

I googled, if you don’t have addiction- you can’t just rehab and get 100% happy for the 75k (that could have changed though who knows)

edit: rehab is 250k, not 75k - losing my mind - the rest was right..

Honestly never found out how long a post could be! So rather be safe than sorry. You'd be surprised the little things that evade people. Like torn post limits :)
