Is it just me who think RWs should just be for the 2 factions involved to participate in? Is relying on outside help just wrong? Nearly all factions we war against do it, but mine don’t, we roll up our sleeves and face that enemy as a faction. Where is the satisfaction of winning when you’ve had mates assisting along the way. In my opinion it’s dirty tactics. If you’re not willing to get in the mud and throw down properly, don’t participate in wars.

Heavy emphasis on the opinion, but, IMO, even with mercs and revivers 99% of the outcome in rw is based on organization from leadership and overall activity, especially with the early discharge mechanic. Mercs are awesome to keep inactives hosped, and revivers are awesome for group pushes when multiple members of said push are maxed on med cd. Again, in my opinion, with the rewards available, alongside the mechanics the way they are it's all fair. Would you start a company at 0* and expect profit day one? Once in the higher rankings even losses can be profit after the costs of fac xans burned / rev and merc services. Until ched steps in it's going to be the meta. All you can do is adapt and move forward.
Most factions are too weak to do it by themselves. They need daddy to help them out.
Mercs and revs win you wars
Winning wars = more Money
Winning wars = more Money
An active team is a huge plus but yes it's possible to fight to gold with out mercs or many revives

We can play that kind of game ofc, but it was fun play head to head wars. I have loose thous wars, I have win some. Loosing, winning it is not the point. In game it is fun to play.
We are now middle in war and we have 5-6 factions against us, we can't even a try to play. Is this what we really want from ranked wars?

I get where you are coming from, and I too would like to see a change that allows RW to be 1v1 (I can’t think of a solution that would fix it though tbh).
However while we are in the system we’re in, if you are not using every advantage possible to win you may as well not be signing up for war.

I just think... If ranked war's moving this way. There is more than just our faction which can't play thous? I am sure that we will start to make just chains because we don't have lot of powerful friends.
Is there way to fix this problem in ranked war's?

Ched could easily set up a system that stops people in ranked wars being attacked much like when you’re a new player you cannot be attacked. ‘This player is currently in a ranked war and cannot be attacked’ with the exception of the opposing faction.
Using mercs is the meta, even if a 1v1 brawl is more fun.
If you want to go with no mercs/revivers for a war or whatever you'd like, it's best you talk terms of the RW with your opponent before it starts. Won't work if there's not enough trust between the factions, but if both sides agree, you can get some fun brawls.

oh boy, another one of these posts. Mercs and revives are valid tactics, and allow many players who don't enjoy directly warring to still participate in this newish feature which has so fundamentally changed the way the game is played. It spreads the wealth from ranked warring around, encourages new connections among players and is a valid strategy to play around. If your faction wants to play the isolationist style that's perfectly fine, but your opponents are under no obligations to do the same. There is no problem here, only people choosing not to use mechanics that are available to them and then wondering why their fights are so hard.
"Mercs and revives are valid tactics" f**k them.
Having a good member or two that are highly active can overcome one side using mercs and the other not, either way after a while they tend to give up due to high bills and surrender, try getting some talent if you aren't willing to use mercs.
Oh, I don't mean mercs and revs. Mercs are in faction when drawing pairs.
I mean out side help like this:
https://www.torn.com/loader.php?sid=attackLog&ID=1c8d9d74a87a70ad861604a5499ddabd
We have events like that like... a lot.
So, out side powerful players come's and makes you "almost dead" then other will hosp.

I'm not a fan of mercs and shit, but that's just a stupid ass suggestion.
Then people would just spam do RW's to avoid getting bitchslapped if they pissed off the wrong person, or if they're hiding from bounties etc.

So now in our ranked war is agains us like 5-6? Factions. Okey it is in system and can be done. But is that what we think that is ranked war?
Yeah well I hadn’t really thought it through that much lol
If you can’t beat em join em, is not about having friends money is just as good to get em, also you can negotitiate a no merc war by offering some of your winnings if you win for example.
We never did hired mercs before, got all the way to platinum the old fashioned way, until the last war and it felt so good going to sleep knowing someone was being paid to kill my faction mates while I slept lol

A seperate event for 1vs1 is a possible opition, gladiatorial style event, with no outside help, once every 6 months perhaps, to avoid lessen the impact of the abuse (in other game areas) that would follow such a 1vs1 system. However as others have mentioned simply agreeing terms beforehand, is still viable if enough trust exists.
Back on point, how many players/factions practice revives during downtime? How many factions have or are close 25e -35e revives, do most factions who call for the 1vs1 have the faction respect to focus extra points into reducing reviving costs. Do factions have the diverse player to mix revivers and hitters? If a faction isn't covering any of these points off first, the 1vs1 game mechanic worsens situations, not helps.
IMO - To go 1vs1 would certainly open up a faction to consider and use a more diverse set of tactics. There are also additional impacts around recuirtment and perk planning etc, which isnt a bad thing. However, in the end, this still favours the larger factions and family's. Also factions who cannot adjust to the current meta, would unlikely adapt to this 1vs1 meta, and the use of outside players at least for now makes the results "somewhat" more 50/50, if the matching making system works.... whole other rant on this element but won't stray from the topic :)
